Vulnerable. There's the word. The reason why I haven't been in a relationship so far is because I can't bring myself to give someone the power to break me (in case they leave me).

+Sunny Singh Heard of Brené Browns ted talk on the subject? The bomb man.
@sunnysingh7869 жыл бұрын
+One Heck Of An Adventure I did watch it after you mentioned it. The talk is pretty much based on my life story with one exception. She talks about people labeling themselves as unworthy (due to shame and fear of rejection). I, on the other hand, have the opposite problem. I find others not worthy enough to reject me. Call it arrogance but that is my situation.

I first know about soulpancake is through the their video " how to connect with anyone " and then I start to view videos of soulpancake. To be honest, i have tear drops in almost every the science of love series video. Me and my other half were in a long distance relationship, and I am very insecure about our relationship but we both know we deeply fall in love with each other, which is a blessed things. We have been together 20 months now... we only have the chances to see each other when the school is on and we break apart during semester break... we booth cry together when we know we are not able to see each other faces in the next morning, it is a hard time to deal with after graduation which will happen on the coming May and which made it worst is her birthday fall on May 31 and by that time she might be back to her hometown. But now I saw all these videos and it makes me happy and feel positive about our relationship, I can't wait to watch again with her company next time :) thanks soulpancake for these awesome videos, subscribed.

So beautiful and at the same time it makes so sense, everybody who is in a long relationship knows how difficult is not let the relationship to get into a rut! It is so important to always remember that passion and intimacy is not something that you earn and will last forever, it is a day-to-day conquest! To fall in love is to easy, but to keep this feeling over the time, takes a lot of commitment and respect. But in the end, if you have what it takes to live with one special person you will see that it will worth every moment you spent with the one you LOVE!

Today I opened up to a new woman in my life, she makes me so happy and actually feel good about life and the future, that I had to let her in. It turns out she feels the same about me as I do for her and I owe it all to opening up and showing vulnerability to someone I barely know. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't said anything? All I know is I'm with the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and she's all mine :) I love you soulpancake, you make our days better without even knowing how you truly influence our lives. Thank you all involved :)

"One of the most important things to know about love is that it never stays in the same place. Intimacy and passion rise and fall with the stresses of life. So, if you feel the drop now and then, don't freak out. It doesn't mean the relationship is broken, it's just the nature of how love works." Thank you for saying that.

I find that the book "The Soul Mate Illusion" shows us the deep psychology of how what often seems to be great romantic love turns out to be a bubble that bursts . . . an illusion. It suggests that early patterns of the bondings of infants recreate themselves in adult romance. Thus there is a simplistic projection of a perfect bond (or a deep need for one) with the partner that makes for a misperception of seeing the real, full, complex adult person with whom we are trying to be intimate. If we understand this patterning, we will be able to cope better, and learn much, when the illusions of love reveal themselves.

Intimacy is the hardest part. It's like allowing some one to look into a river that is me and not trying to move fast to avoid allowing them to see the bottom of me or further down my path. It's literally being still and saying that another person can look in-to-me-see all of me.

Watched both segments and think they are well done. As an Uber driver, I drive young couples and singles - gay and straight - around for hours on end and and end up talking with them and overhearing a lot of fascinating bits of interactions. I am constantly struck by how most people want the same thing but sometimes are afraid to ask for/expect it. Staying on a superficial level - passion only - won't last.

Let me start by saying this channel is very interesting. Nice job.. in many ways. I have two main questions about "love" tho but I'll share only one: how about ppl that can love several person at the same time? In order to clarify that, one must think within the paradigm that it actually really is the case for some ppl. But Im pretty sure it'll lead to my other question of 'what love is' which I've seen a video of but is still a lil confused about.

From 22 till 29, I was in two long term relationships...back to back. From 29 to 31, my present age, I've been willfully single. It's been great....but seeing shit like this makes me miss being in a relationship. This is the good stuff. Of course there is a bad side, but I guess everything has that. I would miss my independence though. Being able to do ANYTHING I want without permission, guilt, or mutual decision making is...nice. :)

There's this one guy that I like, and right now we're just friends, but I sometimes I get (only the slightest) feeling that we both want to be more than friends. But I've been hurt before by this same person, and I don't want to risk losing our friendship again. It's so hard being vulnerable, especially when we're bound to make the same mistake of falling into the trap of caring about someone who doesn't care about us back. :(
