Hi, I’m from Poland. Recently, I started getting interested in watercolor painting. I’m a complete beginner and currently taking a rather fast-paced course. It’s all about not worrying about technique, just going for it. Throwing the brush, quickly dipping it in the paint, and mixing. I don’t know anything yet. I’m completely immersed in it. I’ve been searching the internet for any information on mixing paints, colors, water, brushes, strokes-everything. And I found you. The way you explain and speak resonates with me. I’m not sure if this is the watercolor style you have, but I really enjoy watching it. Thank you for being here. I hope more people will find you because you share your knowledge in such an accessible, approachable, and free way. It’s amazing. Thank you so much for being here. May the universe work its magic. Sending you warm regards.❤

I totally agree! When you start light and it turns out ok then you end up stopping so as not to ruin it! Much better to go for it the first time round so if you get magic at least it’s the right value💕💕💕💕💕

Liron, you are a treasure, I love it when you say things like "I call bs", in reference to established or commonly used art methods. Thanks again for reminding us that it's art, you can do whatever you want.

Window 🪟 sills are the bottom part of the window. The doors on the windows are called Shutters here in the USA. I am loving 🥰 the explanation of the shadows. These colors look so great & vibrant! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful painting & video! Have a great week Liron!

Love the idea of laying down most dynamic/striking/ “star” colors first. This way, you can better determine how to tone them up or down with quieter colors and various details.

Are you using white gouache for the last lines?

Can you teach how to create shadow colours ? Because when I saw the original pic, I only saw brown . But the purple just makes sense in the final Piece

Do you mean how to recognize them and what color will work? There are a couple of ways to do this, or things that should help: - Swatching the color in photoshop / other software to see what gray it is (gray purple in this example) - Printing the reference photo (then you can more easily use a test paper and match the colors (matching with a screen is a bit harder) - Inventing a different color that you know will work well based on your experience and color theory. For example - violet is a complementary to yellow, so using a violet shadow on a warm yellow building enhances the feeling of light! Hope that makes sense 🙏😊

Good tips, but a completely different process to what I've been learning this year. I guess there's more than one way to do these things once we understand how watercolour works.
