I love short " how to " videos with just enough information for enthusiasts to try. Well done 😊

I actually miss you long lasting transformation videos. I kn ow these are hard to record and also hard to edit but -trust me when I say- YT will, at some point, make it worth you extra time with good payouts.

This is the best detailing channel, because of all the insider info you get. I have looked back but can’t remember what cars, you told us about Autoglym making two engine detailing products but are both the same, spray on wet and leave to dry for matte finish

For those interested, after using the heat gun on the plastic trims, apply some GTechniq C4 trim restorer. It reacts at a molecular level to provide up to 2 years of further protection from degrading the plastics. It works an absolute treat.

This method is good for short term, but the plastic will fade again from the sun's uv rays. I tried a lot of methods on my civic type s plastic trim and everything failed. I ended up cleaning (de greasing) the entire trim around the car, and applied a platic primer x2 coats, then applied a paint called zinsser allcoat (matt black ) x2 coats and the trim looks brand new. Its been done 2 years now and still looks amazing with no flaking, chipping or colour fade👍

The problem with the heat gun is that the properties of the plastic are changed by the heat. I got the best and long-lasting result with ceramic sealing.
@everydaydetailing6449 Жыл бұрын
As you can see by the side skirt, the trim has gone stripy and no trim restorer will remove that UV damage, its either replace, paint or heat gun! on a £800 car this is a fairly decent option! though you are right, many new sealants are outstanding and last for a long time.

How long should you apply the heat for in a given area and is that at max setting?
@everydaydetailing6449 Жыл бұрын
I use it on max setting and only put over an area until it changes colour, a few seconds tops, almost like painting a fence etc, or using a paint can, I tend to work the nozel back and forth rather than one fixed spot

What tire care did you use here?
@refa42 Жыл бұрын
White waiting for the answer, I'd like to give a shoutout to Autoglym Tyre Gel - I've had good results with it. It gives a new tyre look without being glossy, and keeps them that way for weeks after first application. Of course the tires need to be properly clean before applying.

What’s the point in getting invested in watching your content again? You disappear for nearly a year post a couple of videos then disappear again. No point in getting invested in watching

It will be much worse and worse every time you use heat gun. Simply apply trim restorator and repeat every 6 months.

On a car like this once its had the heat gun treatment and a decent trim protector/restorer added on a regular basis, there should be no need to heat treat the trim in the future.

That's also one point of view. Simple, just not for me, and I wasn't thinking locally in the first place in the video is globally available.
