I am just a few minutes in but I am always amazed by Dr. Lisle's bewitching abilities in wording a complex topic

I did what you recommended, for Passover I brought a big WFPB shepherds pie ,enough for everyone,to my family’s non vegan Passover meal. I made the ground faux meat with onions, quinoa, mushrooms and walnuts. With Trader Joe’s fire roasted onions and peppers, sun dried tomatoes, Italian herbs, and some zucchini as the Passover compliant veggies in the middle, topped with mashed potatoes. I knew it was going to feed my husband and I, but I was shocked when most of it was gone. I didn’t tell anyone it was vegan because it would freak out my very food conservative family. I’ve always been reluctant to share my healthy vegan food because my family can be very insulting about my husband’s and my diet. But it worked, just like you said. They ate it before they knew it was my vegan food, and then were very complimentary. I don’t think they will mind me bringing my food now. Thanks for all the great advice!

Wow that did sound amazing! Not surprised it was gone!

@@liahk1000 thanks! If they had known what it was made from they wouldn’t have been so open to trying it. They are very skeptical of my crazy diet. They don’t understand understand it. They don’t have any empathy for animals. Don’t understand diet and health although many are doctors. They found out later and they all thought I had used impossible burgers or something like that. They were surprised how good it was with WFPB

A lifetime subscription to their Living Wisdom Library at Esteem Dynamics was some of the best money I've ever spent. I honestly shiver and feel sick when I think about where my life would be had I not stumbled upon Jen and Doug through your show and learned about evolutionary psychology. Thank you for broadcasting these life-changing messages to the world, Chef AJ. The three of you are treasures to me. Take care!

Dorothy Parker poem: In youth it was a way I had, to do my best to please, to change with every passing lad, to suit his theories. But now I know the things I know, and do the things I do. And if you do not like me so,. To Hell my love with you.

On the subject of having a relationship with a Narcissist, coping strategies are brilliantly described by Dr. Ramani Durvasula on her You Tube channel. Her book is titled "Don't You Know Who I Am"?

This is gold, AJ! Like you :) Dr Lisle and Dr Howk are indeed the voices I need in my head when it comes to relationships! In terms of guys I think I’ve been too nice, honestly. I’m 34 now and really want the right one. They’re giving me the confidence I need to maybe end something that isn’t right - or at least tell him more of what I need. Love you all🤍🤍🤍

~ 28:30 if L had gone done a non med path ...perhaps 2 stents; ~30m Brennan case; 52:18 deceptive altruism as the narcissist victim signals that their deal or share that they are getting is okay , is sufficient..... narcissist then to need direct feedback not passive aggression

Wow. With the increasing lack of shared values my husband and I have since I alone went vegan, I suspect my marriage of over 50 years may be doomed. My diabetes has been cured but his negative attitudes apparently can’t be. 🙁

Interesting definition of a narcissist but very personal and rather inaccurate but kind of sweet.. One of the characteristic of a narcissist is when they see you not as a separate person as an extention of themselves and thus being of the service of their needs..and since you are not a separate person yourself, you can't have different views, feelings and needs..It’s all about them..that's a simplified description from the point of view of psychoanalytical thought...
