The children who appeared in this video with Judith Durham and The Seekers would all be around 70 years old now. I’ll bet that the day they sat on the train with Judith Durham singing “Morningtown Ride” is amongst their most treasured childhood memories for all of them!.

Lovely haunting voice. There is a short list of singers from this era of that caliber with us. Nicole Grisoni and Rosetta Ardito come to mind. I was surprised to find out Anne Murray is held in very high regard in such places as Bulgaria. I must take a second look at her art. What happens is you take these artists for granted. There are plenty of young singers with stellar talent, even here, such as Jenn Grant, but the corrupt music industry has shut them out. You have to search for them.

I was 3 years and 8 months old when I first heard this song. Seriously ill in hospital in Belfast with peritonitis, and hours from death. They played it over the radio in the childrens ward. I can still remember every word and the beautiful melody as if it were yesterday. That was Christmas 1966. I'm still listening and enjoying not that far from Christmas 2020. My thanks and heartfelt gratitude to doctors, nurses and medical staff who saved my young life way back then, and to God Who in His Divine Mercy enabled then to do so.

Her wonderful performance here is what introduced me to The Seekers - I had never heard of them until my dad introduced me to this recording. What a gas to stumble upon this from '66. I remember young Aussies, Kiwis & Canadians converging on the UK that summer; hitch hiking, cargo ship, youth hostels & odd jobs. The music reinforced our sense of 'Commonwealth Cool'. Once again, am reminded how a country with fewer people than Texas has been top heavy with talent for a long, long time. And, yes Virginia, the guys in the band all wore matching suits from a habberdasher...

All of the Seekers songs have a magic of their own and bring such joy to people like myself-my parents were great fans of the Seekers and later gave an LP "Come The Day" which they bought in the 60s and which I still have in my collection

Judith's voice is so magical and the Boys together choke me up everytime I hear this song. It harkens back to a simpler, purer time that I wish we could return to.

When one contemplates the events that took place, resulting in the the universe's arrangement in bringing these four people together, it's nothing short of miraculous -- like the miracle of life itself. Future generations will exclaim 'how lucky were the people who were alive when these four sang' -- what an imprint to have left on the world. ...while listening to this with a 4 year old grand daughter, I just nonchalantly asked her what she would wish for if she knew it would come true -- she answered "I wish I could sing like HER" !!
