There are moments in which Judith throws the high notes with such unbelievable control and strength that the impact on the listener is just incredible. And she is aware of that! This is certainly one of her ( and the group´s) best recorded presentations.

What I love about it is that she doesn't hide behind a gimmick, some quirky sound, she doesn't even so much as lean into a specific vocal characteristic. In many singers, this would reveal lack of substance and just sound bland and unimaginative as a result but in her case it allows you to listen to a voice that is not aggressively unique, yet very distinct - honest, almost naive, unfiltered and unaltered. 11/10

Cause I had enormous troubles mainly on mental level and i don't think anyone can now what I've been through... It's just too much and too hard to even explain. Thank God there's this song and I can sing it to make clear; life's just one rainy day to me and still is.

I'm interested in "From their performance at the London Palladium in a test colour broadcast". I'm not sure what colour system UK broadcasters were experimenting with in 1966 (NTSC-625? PAL?); you've done a good job on enhancing the colour.
@rich9633 жыл бұрын
PAL 625 - but ITV wasn't set up for it yet when this was filmed. They filmed it in colour to send abroad.
@G6JPG3 жыл бұрын
@@rich963 Thanks for replying! Is your clip from a film print then? Either way, it's excellent quality: if from video it's unbelievable, if from film it's been very well kept - no spots or streaks that I could see, just a slight artefact at the right edge. But the colour is more muted than most colour from that long ago. Either way, well done on whatever you did to enhance it!
