Dottori Kun was a JAMMA board that Sega sold with Astro City and other arcade cabinets because there was a weird law in Japan that said JAMMA cabinets could not be sold without any games in them, hence the description on the Astro City Mini.

Also, Joe, the Dottori Kun Arcade PCB was included with every Astro City cabinet when purchased in Japan. By law, they had to include some sort of test game with an arcade cabinet, and this is what Sega made (hence why they said that goofy text). Taito also included “Mini-vader” Space invaders with their cabs, and Konami included some kind of target shooting game.

Thanks sack. love the mini astro button feel. i even just press it when its off! i actually prefer the feel to the bigger arcade buttons on the astro stick, though of course the stick is better on that.
