I think auctioning the more vintage/designer pieces would be more appropriate and could possibly drive up the donations! Love this series and the fact you chose to give back with the profits. Maybe the next can go to Maui? Thanks!

I hope we can revisit the mirror shards in a future episode. Also, considering it’s for charity, maybe you can forge some relationships with local furniture shops like the one you got the mirror table from, and they can provide you with more “damaged” items to refurb and sell!
@seejillmake
@seejillmake Жыл бұрын
I love this idea! I'm sure furniture resale shops get a lot of damaged donations or items that get damaged in the store. They probably end up throwing away items that won't sell so this would be a win win!

Quick TIP; When removing a broken mirror, first cover it in contact paper (the sticky stuff that comes on a roll), pressing the adhesive side firmly to the mirror. This eliminates the problem of shards of mirror flying through the room etc. It also makes it much easier to discard.

@@francescathomas3502 sure, while both are tragic, the devastation in Maui is next level. It's the deadliest fire in 100 years of US history and it's hard to get resources and supplies to them since they are so far and secluded

The US has plenty of people who are donating we Canadians have the most wild fires right now and any support to protect people will be necessary. All wild fires are terrible and I think we are all feeling the effects. I think if people can help where they can that should be enough. I think the Sorry Girls have done a lot of awesome work and they will do the best they can. Just as we can do the best we can. Stay thrifty ladies and stay safe out there! ❤❤❤❤

@Amsims
@Amsims Жыл бұрын
We have bad wild fires in Canada every year BC, NWT and AB is normally a yearly thing some classing at a level 6 with up to 390 going at once and burning hundreds of thousands of acres of land. Please do your research before commenting “next level” to Canadians who have been displaced for years. We had one recently near where I live that burned 267,867 acres of land and close to 30,000 people were displaced. Edited to say: This is not to say Maui doesn’t deserve support but I think there is not enough information out there about what goes on here in our country. If they are to donate I think it should be to either one! Just know it’s not just the states struggling here!

These chairs are originals. The metal has been painted as well as the leather... they were once black. Whoever refurbished them either thought chrome and white was too loud or the chrome was in rough shape and they didn't know how or didn't want to spend to rechrome. Incredible find.

Oh gosh Rachel, you are so amazing, those white chairs that you painted black are so awesome, and I didn't realize that you could paint a chair and have it look so amazing but because of the material it is made with that paint is so incredible and the stain on the handles fits that black so beautifully. And that mirrored coffee table is also so incredible and watching you take off the broken mirrors was so cool, and those new pieces of mirror that you got are so wonderful. Gosh thanks so much Rachel you are so great at doing these projects, and this really was a fun video to watch. Have a wonderful day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂😊🤗👍💜💜💜
