in Italy we also have Sephoras and we had for long time (I'm now 21) and it is very common to go all the time with peers growing up (like at the mall and stuff like that), at 14-15-16 etc... this is a common experience for a lot of young girls, and oh my gosh what is it with letting this behavior slide???? I would have never behaved like that even at that age, that's on the family's values and lack of education, it really shows how poor they educated their kids, so disappointed :'(

I feel like this is heavily on the parents or guardians of these kids - how did they learn to do this or learn to think it was acceptable? Especially with the mom RIGHT THERE, what a failure to the kids to not step in immediately and tell them how abhorrent their behavior was. I personally think that, especially for younger people, these kinds of actions and racist biases CAN be changed - but it is going to have to come from the kids changing a whole lot about themselves though. And it's not overnight. They can't just say they've changed their views, they'll need to show and earn it. But hopefully they are young enough to unlearn these disgusting biases and learn more about the world and people around them. I worry maybe mom is too far gone. But maybe the kids can do better...
@DoReMewMew8 ай бұрын
Obviously there should be consequences for their actions and obviously they should feel the incredible weight of what they did. But I will hope against hope they will change.

If you actually watched Danesh (he has like 4 divided segment about this) from TikTok, the girl who spoke to the mom is NOT a Sephora employee. She is a vendor, therefore. Do not give Sephora credit at all. Sephora should have handled it better as they should have called security and have them kick out instead of having them continuously roaming around in the store. Another note to add, that store alone is known for being racist as well.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Gen Z & Gen Aplha go so hard for inclusivity, diversity, & political correctness there's no way this isnt to some extent intentional.
@espeon8718 ай бұрын
Im sorry but there's really no good reason for that, also kids arent politically correct tho because i live next to and is related to younger kids and theyre very ver offensive like every other generation of kids. The older kids too theyre just generally more educated so theyre more "politically correct" and inclusive but thats cuz theyre educated abt it more, but like from bare minimum to like slightly advcanced like millenial teens and tweens. Theres always new trends like racist dog whistles on tiktok, where they comment like "well, well, well" under videos of black individuals who arent the best as a way to affirm racist beliefs like a joke. Also the rise of terms like acoustic and andrew tate's casual misogyny etc so its not like rebelling against the "politically correct" or like progressiveness i think its just bad behaviour period.
@espeon8718 ай бұрын
@@NyraDelRey i disagree because like kids nowadays are just like kids in the past they have access to both education and miseducation and usually they go down the route of the latter because its "cooler" like internet street cred and more "fun" like "rebellious" and "edgy". Most gen z and gen alpha who are more "PC" or progressive are older kids and gen zers esp older ones are more educated on it since we started learning more around big global changes during an age where we're coming into our own, so the adult gen zers happen to lean progressive but its not neccesarily the case for all. However, the tweens and younger teens, theyre very much like other kids, they can be offensive and they are cuz theyre usually the ones popularising new dog whistles as racist jokes and ableist jokes like acoustic, so like genuinely idt its rebellion or anything its just bad behaviour.

I feel like the Sephora kids don’t even understand what they’re doing in the Sephoras, like there’s no way a 10-12 year old knows what the products they touched are used for, unless they’re actually smart but like why does a 10 year old care about beauty 😭😭😭 I went to this class trip and at that time me and classmates were like 13-14, plus there were other schools around the country going to the same destination, they were also 13-14, when we went into the sephoras we were respectful and minded out business, we didn’t trash the whole place, literally everyone in there went inside for a reason and came out with something they actually wanted (well at least some 😂) but you get what I mean…. I think there should be age limit though Like 13+ or 14+, but yeah idk abt y’all, that’s just my opinion, I just don’t think it’s face for some of the girls that actually know what they’re doing

“Just kids” PLEASE! From the video you can tell they are all old enough to know better. And the giggling shows they know it’s wrong! Parents are responsible for their kids (or little brats) until 18 yrs. Then they can deny responsibility. To add, schools should not be held responsible for kids. Again, it’s the parents who remain responsible until age 18. Stop blaming others - parents must be held accountable for their own children period •
