Video provider....I was a supervisor at Popeyes for over 7 years Never saw a "Pre-Breaded" spicy tender in my store. Hmmm ? Also, whoever talked about leaving the spicy chicken under heat lamps longer than not or until someone complains. Nope, Sorry get with the "Serv Safe" program. Popeyes has product quality times to follow like other concepts. Staff just needs to be trained and follow procedures. Stop trying to save money and serve good product. Most of this bad quality chicken stuff happens from Lazy, not properly trained cooks that don't know when and how much certain chicken to drop at certain times.

I worked at Popeyes. We never ran out of anything. But chicken was cooked in small batches so big orders might have to wait also cooked to order things like nuggets or shrimp would also take longer. Everything comes in frozen including the biscuits. The only thing seasoned by hand at the restaurant is bone-in chicken and it has to thaw before we could do that. Tenders come pre-cut and seasoned. Potatoes are instant. All other sides come frozen. Only thing that is not is the slaw and dressing that you mix on it. The "butter" on the biscuits isn't butter. It's more like yellow grease that comes in big jugs.

People think I'm being sarcastic when I say that Popeye's specializes in uncooked chicken. They HAVE that reputation! When I got Popeye's chicken, I never ate it there. I took it home and froze everything. Then, I will put them in the oven when I am ready to eat them, allowing me to make sure it actually IS cooked. Finally, I just gave up, because it just wasn't worth going miles out of my way just to get chicken I wasn't impressed with anyway. The only thing I got when I walked past one is a bunch of their blackened ranch sauce packets. Recently, I've decided it's just easiest to make my own. Did you know blackened seasoning is actually RED?! The coloring darkens when you heat it. Been going to Raising Cane a lot recently. So much better. They're better than KFC too, but then so is everyone these days. But I still miss Pioneer Chicken - they were the best. Fun fact: Popeye's Chicken is not named after the sailorman. It is named after Eddie Egan, whose nickname was "Popeye." He was the cop who, with his partner Sonny Grosso, busted the so-called French Connection drug ring, and he inspired the character of Popeye Doyle in the movie with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. But, of course, that never stopped the restaurant from licensing the cartoon character for occasional promotions.

You can do this for any restaurant brand in the country. Even peoples beloved Chick fil a. You can also do videos that show customers who rave certain brands. One location is not indicative to an entire brand. Popeyes is best in class for bone in chicken. If you havent tried them in a while, then go visit one and form your own opinion. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I love Popeyes food. Never had any issues. The undercooked chicken is shocking, but probably is due to poor training, or failure to check things, such as the oil temperature in the fryers. Checking every four hours is wrong. It should be checked every time new food is dropped into them. Most people know that if you put a lot of frozen items into a fryer the oil temperature drops, and therefore the cooking time needs to be increased.
