love the "in the weeds" vibe of this video. I feel like other builders make vids showcasing errors in projects, but this one is unique in the way that it puts you in that moment to moment decision (and indecision!) making that always goes on in a complicated creative project. ton of raw skill on display here dude, serious props 🤌

A suggestion for a video. Besides the eye-opening, jaw dropping designs and builds, I am simply amazed at the ribbons you are able to create planing, regardless of which plane or spokeshave you use. I saw a brief glimpse of your sharpening station in this video, but I think it would be very beneficial to many of your viewers if you could make a video on your sharpening process, with anecdotal information on plane setup and use. Many thanks!

Oh boy Nick! So much artistry in everything I've seen! I subbed to you from Cam, but I stayed because you are awesome! Your wife must be over the moon with this dresser. I showed my brother a screen capture from the photos at the end. He said, "I don't see a dresser...it looks like an art piece." 😊 I also joined on Patreon & will share this video on my Facebook. I don't usually do that. In fact, you are one of only 3 youtubers I support monthly on Patreon. You, Rear Admiral Jingles & Laura Kampf. Oh, I also support Good Simple Living thru KZbin. It's seriously all I can afford to do. I would also have ordered a t-shirt, unfortunately there were no size 4x or any blue ones with your better (in my opinion) logo. I did almost order the faded army green one for my brother, but his colors are blue or black. The art on that one is 1st class! Thank you for another, even longer, happy video! Don't know how you got 6 months down to 35 minutes, but it was just so enjoyable!

man, seeing those cupped panels has me wanting to go and make my 7th and 8th attempt at some damn panels that don't look like a potato chip. I mean they seem fine and then they're not. I think my wife is getting annoying at all the wood purchases and panels laying around the house. edit: for the record I only need two panels. I should have been done with my project long ago, too. I'm considering just putting dovetails in them and hoping that pulls them flat.

This is some pretty impressive craftsmanship, self taught or not this is awesome work! As for the OCD factor, I have to admit to more than a few anxiety inducing moments. This has been the case throughout my 40 plus years in the building trades, if I'm having a rough time making something come together it manifests in dreams of not being able to get something right after countless attempts. Nick, as a fellow sawdust maker, I too have a very stringent client (other half) and making pieces of furniture for her is a time eating nightmare. You have done yourself proud here and mad stunning piece of furniture for her 👏👏👏👍 A couple of questions for you - what finish did you use and what such a dark veneer for the inside of the drawers ? My preference would have been a satin birch or sycamore, just my 1ct worth. All the best, keep the vids coming. Karl W
