Hi Ivain, Hong Kong definitely a housing culture shock for sure. My parents visited in the late 1980s, were overwhelmed by it. My neighbor , was born in The People's Republic of China, she is in her mid 30s. Lisa said "Hong Kong is not as important to The Republic as it used to be as the Chinese Government has developed other huge trading zones and ports in Mainland China." The pressure of population is because more Mainland Chinese started to enter Hong Kong over the last 30 years. Hong Kong is still a major financial hub but Singapore and Dubai are more desirable in living standards for International Finance professionals.

Interesting video. Looking from the outside, you would never know these living conditions exist. Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Basically, there are too many people living there. I hope the government finds a solution to this housing crisis. Thank you for sharing your tour around Hong Kong Ivain. I enjoyed watching 👍👍👍.

Dont be impressed by the cars. Car ownership is prohibitively expensive and its only accessible to the rich. Car ownership is not accessible to the masses as it is in the US or other developed countries. Thats why you find higher end private cars.

My brother lived in Hong Kong. His salary after tax was 25000 us dollars a month he worked for a big bank. He had a large 3 bed apartment which cost 5000 usd a month and had everything he wanted. But if you explained that the majority of natives earn around 5 usd an hour working 60 to 80 hours a week whilst living in cages , he would say oh but taxes are low. This is how the big guns hold the workers down in hk .
