Each truck maker has its own issues. Ford and their turbo v6 is their main engine (and has had issues) ...over their coyote engine. Chevy has their 5.3 v8 and it's just so weak. Lately , compared to interior, ram is hands down the best. Even down to the seats. At the end of the day, it's not about just the v8....it's about options. Stellantis is falling apart because they want to force feed just one type of engine. That's why ford is successful, they have engine options and they refresh every 2-3 years.

I like the RAM 2500 with the 6.7 Turbo diesel!, I actually owned a 2019 RAM 2500 w/ 6.7 turbo diesel, was getting 17-18 mpg in the Sierra Nevada Mountains specifically in the Stanislaus National Forest, and in the San Joaquin Valley was getting 23-24 mpg in the flats on highways, in stop and go traffic it went down to 17-18 mpg. I had 76,000 miles on it I LOVED THAT TRUCK. However I totaled it in the mountains in the worst fog I have ever been in! The fog was so thick and came down in about 2 seconds, I hit the side of the mountain and rolled on my passenger side, fractured 4 vertebrae 2 operations and 1 yr later I am now getting well!

The more electronics in these vehicles the more issues. You lease it for three years and throw it back to the dealership. And that's why, they're lemon law lawyers. I had two Ford, another garbage company, two lemons.I just put a deposit for the 2025 Ram RHO and leasing it for my business who cares, write off and throw away truck. Trucks and cars are like iPhones, lease it and throw away, Have a great lemon law lawyer on speed dial who loves Ford, Chevy, Toyota, and Jeep for their faulty vehicles. I drove a Chevy ATV4, the door panels cheap, quality was ok, and they have so many issues with that V-8 10 speed transmissions.

Straight six cylinder engine are the best in any vehicle and that is why semi truck have straight six cylinder engines!
