The ignorance about the knowledge and abilities of naturopaths is astounding here. She is a prescribing doctor. She didn’t just read some cherry picked studies on this. I recommend checking out her podcast and see her interviews of MDs on this peptide. You will see she is an expert on this for very good reason.

👏Great episode! I’m 53 5’1” and I lost 50lb. Been on a GLP-1 for 2 years. Maintaining for over a year now. Have done 2 DEXA scans and also gained muscle (and strength!) lost body fat. Pull-ups and pushups, dumb bells exclusively home work outs. Sharing my weight loss/fitness journey on my KZbin channel. Prioritize protein, sleep, sunlight, natural whole foods, walking, lift weight and build muscle. I’m now 113lb and eat 1800-2000c. Reversed Leptin and insulin resistance and no longer pre diabetic. Been an athlete my whole life and I’ve never felt better been leaner or stronger in my life! If I can do this anyone can do this! 💪

Thank you, Max! I appreciate you for bringing on such knowledgable people to interview. Dr. Tyna Moore works on a micro level with the whole picture in view. In addition to tweaking all the factors out of balance, health and wellness coaches can often provide the missing link between someone knowing what to do to reverse/prevent/better manage metabolic syndrome and figuring out how to successfully make those lifestyle changes. Thanks you and keep the good information coming!

Thank you for this interview, Max. I've recently begun HRT using bio-identical hormones as well as natural thyroid, and the doctor (a very experienced OB/GYN who specializes in HRT now, wrote The Hormone Bible, Shawn Tassone, M.D., PHD) based my doses on blood labs. All good, feeling great. I was concerned because he also prescribes Semaglutide (I am very petite, not looking for weight loss help) and I was becoming very wary of the peptides because of the bad press. Now I feel better about his use of them for obese women that he treats. The misinformation was nagging at my confidence in this doctor, but Dr. Tyna Moore explained it extremely well, and your questions were very relevant and kept the conversation on track. I have Genius Foods, love that book, as my own mother recently passed due to complications from dementia. She was also petite, yet pre-diabetic. I'm looking to avoid that fate with every tool at my disposal. Diet is Huge! This was just the podcast I needed tonight. Thank you again!

Thank you so much Dr Tyna! This is the info I was looking for for months. I found out about glp1 a few months ago and in my country they seem to know almost nothing abt these medications. I heard from here and there their impact on methabolic and heart health and talked my GP into letting me try it for my mild heart failure and insulin resistance. But he basically knows nothing about it and I´m his guinea pig. I was looking for info about low dosing it basically for health purposes less than weight loss (not that I didn´t need that as well, but health first...). So I´m so thankful for this video and the few others i found whre you´re talking abouth these meds. They gave me a lot of hope and confidence to try and help myself and maybe other patients through my documentation/experiences/research in this experiment.

First of all…You are so beautiful and smart! Thank you for sharing you have ADHD. You are even more amazing. What a great example you are in learning how to make the best of challenges and turn them into gifts that end up blessing yourself as well as others. Thank you for sharing your clinical experience and insight with us. I have a couple of loved ones who have taken Ozem…and it was helpful for them but I was concerned it could come back to be harmful. I value your insight, experience and application. You reminded me of another doctor who started thinking out of the box and when you talked about Thyroid medication it triggered me wanting to not just connect you two (in my mind) as Outliers but to point you in his direction for maybe additional insight regarding the Thyroid. One of his books IODINE Why you need it Why you can’t live without it. (5th Edition). I’ve been Hypothyroid for 25 yrs. One daughter has Hashimoto and when you read and understand even they need Iodine and how to understand the bloodwork when starting Iodine replacement. He has 2 daughters with Hashimoto. We can’t make Our own thyroid hormone without Iodine. The thyroid isn’t the only gland that needs iodine. All sex organ need iodine. Check out this mainstream trained MD that turned his father’s health problems around only after mainstream meds and protocols didn’t work. Most traditional MD’s only respect things out of their MD training when they or a family member doesn’t get healing the Pharmaceutical way. I grew up the natural way but went to nursing school because I wanted the learn the “scientific” proven way. 😂 Now I value both sides and look into both and thankful there is science to back up a lot of natural ways now. Each has possibilities as we all respond differently and we should know all our options and have choices. Another book just came out a couple of months ago by another Doctor you might be interested in… Lies I taught at Medical School Both of these Doctors have been interviewed on KZbin multiple of times which is where I now have found you. In listening to you I wish you could be my doctor. I’m post menopausal and I’d love your female guidance. I need all the help I can get. 🤪😁 Let me know if that’s a possibility 😁

Thank both of you for this discussion about ozempic. I am type 2 diabetic and had gastric sleeve surgery 14 weeks ago. Im 68 year old man and lost 105 lbs in past year with intermittent fasting walking and exercise and the dietician process with the gastric sleeve. I no longer on b/p medication or cardiac medication or insulin anymore. My gastric sleeve surgeon is recommending me to go on ozempic and stop the lowe dose gliberide for diabetes. I had used trulicty till my insurance stopped paying for it years ago My weight loss is 10 lbs from the surgeon recommended weight for my body frame. Is this really going to benefit me to go from a cheap diabetic pill a day to a expensive weekly injection. Listing to your program makes me think you get financial backing from ozempic is this the same with my surgeon? I have better insurance now and it will be paid for now. I still worry down the years will ozempic be in a class actions law suit for adverse reactions like a lot of medications over the years? I am a retired nurse and i understand a majority of the benefits you talk about. With over years many medications sounding so good at the beginning and then being discontinued. I am a believer in a starter doses being as low as possible. I have a appointment this week with the pharmacist through my weight management office and micro dose is going to be my question for ozempic.

About the comment on the obese server and why he didn't take the shot. Believe it or not, there's people who still havent even hear of ozempic. I revealed to one lady that i had lost 50 lbs with it (and actually increased lbs of muscle in the process) and (i rarely admit it unless close friend) and she had never heard of ozempic. I think when you're in the wellness world, it's easy to think that everyone is aware. Plus probably many people who have heard the jokes but spent no time to learn about it. Hopefully the education will continue of both that it's out there as well as how to use it correctly and the stigma removed

What if the cats were only fed cooked meat? Since I've cut dairy from my diet I'm doing much better and have lost weight just from that. I'm not diabetic and my cholesterol levels are OK, triglycerides normal, but I just don't want to be overweight (even if it is pear-shaped rather than apple-shaped).

Is it actually the GLP-1 or just the fact that these people are losing weight. Also, if people quit eating they stop eating carbs. I remember when I went Keto, the things I loved the most was my memory improved. So again, is it the GLP-1 or just now people are eating less crap. So is the real mechanism people lose weight and stop eating, which then is a by-product of better health, cognition, and brain health.

I think it was around 1975 that most of the chiropractic colleges' doctors were becoming certified to write prescriptions. Chiropractic treatment can also correct some gut issues as the nerves from the back make the gut work the same as the nerves feed everything else in the body. Most chiropractors are holistic and concerned about all the health issues their patients have.

Like who? One of those crackpots who pushed people into becoming lab rats for untested covid vaccine which we now know did nothing.

Agree to disagree-she has steeped herself in the research and we’re discussing the science. Hopefully the next episode will resonate more strongly with you! Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

Absolutely agree. All people want to talk after reading the research papers. We should wait for clinical results after few years. They read a little and talk so they don’t waste the reading. Also money is paid to talk good or bad. Don’t trust them. Wait to the end ( philosophy), wait and see( general medicine).Stpped watching at 25,22 minutes.

She has most likely done more studies on this topic than medical doctors. Doctors only get the info that drug reps give them. And maybe an article or two from the the JAMA.

I love Kevin’s Paleo Thai Coconut Curry Chicken, but I make a delicious soup from the package and add broccoli to the soup. Google for the recipe.
