My doctor tried to get me on statins years ago, she had no reasons to give me except to protect my heart, acting like I could die any day if I didn't start taking them. I refused and she was rude to me, never went back to her.

Add to this that there's no legal measures forcing companies to include the results of every trial. That means, for instance, that if ten equally-populated trials for a drug take place, and in nine of them the drug seems to worsen the condition - but in one single study, there appears to be a minor reduction like the one described here - then the other nine may be ignored.

My grandfather died at 75 and grandmother at 95. They both ate exactly the same food every day for decades, both did not drive so walked everywhere and lived very similarly. Neither of them had heard of vegetable oil and used to cook everything in dripping. My grandfather used to take lots of 'tablets' for imaginery illnesses and my grandmother took nothing. He died from a terrible heart attack, despite pills for that, while my grandmother slipped away peacefully in her sleep. I am now confident the medication my grandfather took sent him to the grave one or two decades earlier than if he didn't take them. A side effect is a sign your body has been poisoned. Most medications have side effects, therefore are a poison.

I had a small stroke in Jan 2023. The emergency room doctor let slip that it was likely related to the coco vax. I was admitted, and the doctor on the floor came to give me my first dose of statin. I refused. I’m already a T2 diabetic, but it was well controlled with a keto-carnivore diet, and my cholesterol numbers were “perfect”. But she was adamant that I must take a statin. When I continued to refuse, she actually stood at the foot of my bed and shouted at me. (I bet my roommate in the other bed enjoyed that). She then cancelled my scheduled MRI and discharged me as “noncompliant” and even refused to give me a work release. I had a small stroke and had to return to work the following day. And she neglected to tell me that I wasn’t supposed to drive . (Drove myself home from the hospital!) All because I refused to take a statin.

Linus Pauling gave a lecture in 1992 in New York that debunked cholesterol as the cause of heart attack and placed the blame squarely on lipoprotein a (Lp-a) which is made by the liver as a substitute for vit C and Selenium deficiency, both being required to make collagen to repair damaged heart blood vessels. In their absence the body plugs the damage with lpa and if the deficiency persists because of poor diet then the foundational causes of a heart attack are in place and accumulate until it breaks off and blocks the blood vessel in its deadly finale. High cholesterol is the body's substitute attempt to repair blood vessel damage in the absence of the main first choice materials required for the perfect repair.

Good stuff Dave, and good job explaining it. Better than I could do. Same as with the initial vax studies. That was also a little over 1 risk reduction but they were claiming something like 96% "effective". I had a hard time explaining it to anyone without a math background. Of course I was a conspiracy theorist and anti vax only a minute in, so their mind had shutdown anyway 😂

Well, Bobby claims that the 100% risk reduction (i.e. he means relative) from the big study was for "C0vid" (whatever you believe on that) but says that the all-cause mortality (esp. cardiovascular) was actually 20+% higher in the time in those who got the injection over those that didn't. But in an attempt to keep my comment up, I'll say that mainstream sources say to follow whatever mainstream sources say to do.

The other term to discuss is Number Needed to Treat in order to see a statistically significant benefit. For statins this is about 200. Balance that against the well documented side effects and consider if it’s worth the risk. For me, no.

If its essential, dont touch it. Body knows ho to deal with it. Same for gluconeogenesis.
@btudrus13 күн бұрын
I disagree. Sort of. Yes, in a healthy body, the body will regulate cholesterol production (the same for gluconeogenesis) to a perfect "number". But living unhealthy will dysregulate these mechanism. So it is well known that eating a lof of sugar will over time lead to dyslipidaemia and increased gluconeogenesis. It is definitely a symptom you should pay attention to. Lowering cholesterol by drugs is an nonsense, obviously...

My opinion. If your provider INSISTS on a Statin, without offering a CAC score test…..ask them to record in your notes that you “consider them to be guilty of malpractice”. Additionally, follow this up with an e-mail confirming same 👍

Question for the fellow carnivores. Just wanted some feedback. Do you personally believe eating 1mad or 2mad or 3mad causes any difference in weight loss if you eat exactly the same amount of total food. If you see this Dave what do you think? Trying to lose that last 10lbs and not sure what path I should take.
@happyapple426914 күн бұрын
Just eat when hungry. Your body tells you when you need food.
@triciaduffyauthor13 күн бұрын
2mad Maybe your “goal” weight doesn’t align with the optimum weight your body has decided is best for you at this time. The more anxious you are, the less it is likely to happen. Personally, and this is just what I feel, I would just let it go and be relaxed about the weight you are now. Just my opinion, and if it doesn’t resonate with you, feel free to scroll on by.

Weight loss or fat loss?
@millimetrar13 күн бұрын
... last 10 lbs ... listen, maybe you should really listen to your body. You are fixated to a number and your body simply wants a certain weight? You are carnivore - then you know it takes time, it might be just 2 months but can be more and your body has found it's own weight. Probably still not in your accepted range.
