Your last clip is SOOOO accurate. I worked at a gas station for a couple years, and one day a tornado passed right over the store. Our store was unscathed other than losing a few garbage cans but several buildings nearby had extensive damage. The roads were flooded, multiple trees and powerlines were down in the area, the store is pitch black other than a couple flashlights, and my coworkers and I are trying to move as much perishable food into the freezers as we can so we don't have to throw it out the next day. And every twenty minutes or so someone knocks on the front door asking if we have any coffee, or better yet tries to get gas from pumps that have been shut down as there is almost two feet of standing water around them.

@@JacolbyG 5 seconds of footage. You're basing that correlation on 5 seconds of background footage. Some people are letting it affect their emotions and perception of Doug, unsubbing and saying that it's sad. Just think about that. It takes 5 seconds for all this prejudice to happen. Those 5 seconds are what I meant by next to nothing context. Because: - We don't know when he started listening to the podcast. - We don't know what other podcasts he listens to. - We don't know even know if Doug's the one listening to it as, Ian has access to his car with the card thing. - And if he is listening to it, we don't know to what extent his beliefs overlap with those in the podcast. Or to what extent the podcast affects his thinking. What other context could we have beyond the fact that an episode of Ben Shapiro's podcast is displayed on the screen? Nothing, other than assumptions. And sure, assumptions provide a perspective. But is it right to base our judgement of someone on an assumption, especially an assumption that's based on very few facts?

What I do care about, and have an aversion for, is the quick unwarranted and extreme judgement people have these days. @@LabTech41 Ben Shapiro has said some downright awful things, and many of them he has not retracted, or if he has it is clearly not because he changed his views. For instance, his comments on "Palestinians living in sewers", writing a book where a BLM activist pays a kid to get killed by the cops so he can turn said cops into a drug dealing empire, rampant transphobia, homophobia, and general bigotry. The fact that he speaks without swearing doesn't change the fact that he is a bigot. Given the public views of Wyrmwood, many of which explicitly disagree with everything Ben Shapiro stands for, the public being upset is not really a surprise. I personally don't thing we should cancel anybody over this, that would be moronic, but a conversation should always be had to discuss issues like this, that is the point of open and free debate.
