The SHORTEST station name in the Netherlands: Nijmegen - Oss - 's-Hertogenbosch - Roosendaal 26jan22

From a DDZ I will again show you one of the particularities of the Netherlands. During this ride at 14:35 we pass the station with the shortest name in the Netherlands: Oss. The railway abbreviation is also the shortest: O. At Tilburg station, the Cabview Holland Express is filmed by Spotter VIPs ts Nathan and Dennis. Thank you for your contribution! Super gaaf filmpje, en ook heerlijk dat de DDZ terug is, wat rijdt dat toch heerlijk rustig. Ik zag je beschrijving en stond dat je een volvo had gespot... ik heb het filmpje nog niet helemaal afgekeken, maar dat gaat nog wel goed komen. Maarrrr aangezien je denk ik ook een auto fan bent... :D Heb je gezien bij Wijchen op 6:51, bij spoorwegovergang rechts, achter de renault clio, en voor de caddy. Deze prachtige Mazda Mx5 ND RF 2.0 ik vermoed een 161 pk motortje....:D grote kans is dat die een clublid is. Zelf heb ik namelijk een Mx5 ND 1.5 met 131 PK. dat viel dus bij mij op :D. En ik vroeg me of af je het ook zag.

Wanneer was dit opgenomen? Nijmegen was eerste station ter hoogte van Keizer Karel plein. Wijchen was ook nog eens herbouwd in 2016 na dat er te veel reizigers waren en te kleinen treinen/ te weinig en tot circa de jaren “80/“90 was in de richting van Oss aan de rechter kant een Margarine fabriek met goederen sporen. Ravenstein was ook nog herbouwd in 2020 ( als ik het goed heb). Verder een mooie video.

Bedankt voor het meedenken en je tips! Over het eerste station van Nijmegen kom ik in een latere video nog terug. Bij Wijchen vind ik het vervangen van het stationsgebouw een reconstructie, en is voor mij leidend op dit moment. Verder noem ik op dit moment enkel een aantal zichtbare bijzonderheden en enkele noemenswaardige opgeheven aftakkingen.

We have quite a lot of this kind of names. For instance Den Haag (The Hague) is officially: 's-Gravenhage. A few other places in The Netherlands: 's-Gravenpolder, 's-Heer Arendskerke, 's-Heerenhoek, 's-Heer Hendrikskinderen, 's-Heer Abtskerke, 's-Gravendeel, 's-Gravenzande, 's-Heerenberg, just to name a few.
