If you get the 2620 without the “T” they are the same price! The comfort grip on the Shindaiwa is way better than the echo.

Which one has a grease zert or place to grease the head ???

Both do. They're the exact same trimmer with minor differences. Both brands are owned by Yamabiko Corp. Of Japan. They are the same, in most respects.

Both heads have a bolt you can remove and add grease. You could of course add a zert by simply screwing one on.

One other difference,. The shindaiwa uses a steel driveshaft, while the echo uses a flex cable shaft. Currently deciding which one I should buy. Any preference after using both of them?

I tend to favor the Shindaiwa due to the grip comfort. If you do decide on an echo just get the 2620 you do not need the t-torque version for $40 more. I could not tell a difference. They are both monsters though…. Can't believe I waited so long to get an echo trimmer. Coming from a Husqvarna commercial guy.

@@PatriotLawnCareServicesI had an echo and the vibration and trigger were my gripes with it. I went to husqvarna and like it but the carb seems to be temperamental. I’m thinking of buying a shindaiwa next season. Seems like it fixes the gripes I had with the echo.

The high torque model, with 2 to one gear reduction will leave the reg model in the dust with .105 line on two week properties with the guard off. I own em both and have been commercial cutting for 11 years

@@T_81535for the work I've done thick and thin with my commercial jobs I couldn't tell the difference. I understand technically with the gearing in the head it yields higher torque… I just don't see the value for the average user. Just my opinion.

@@giannhsst thanks for pointing that out. I personally didn't research them carrying “t” models and mentioned that based on what the dealer told me. I guess I need to question some of the things he's been telling me.

The echo 2620 without the "T"still seems more powerful to me. Do they feel like the same string trimmer to you ? I own both but I always end up going back to the 2620 it just feels more powerful . Honestly I forgot I had the t262 until I saw the shin's on my feed.

only difference between 2060 and 2620T means ''torque'' supposed to be better for thicker weeds at cost of higher gas consumption tho. you can buy the same gearbox/head for a 2620 tho.

They felt the same to me as far as power… the 2620 did not prove to have an advantage over the T262. In my opinion the 2620T is waste of money when you can have the 2620 for about $40 cheaper. I prefer the t262 right now due to the grip as it feels more comfortable - seems to have a little more padding and it also allows me to cut 3” more of grass per pass due to the guard. I personally prefer running guards on my trimmers. Thanks for taking the time to comment and for watching!
