The Turn About Ranch was an American TV show that aired in the Appalachian Mountains in 2000. I cannot find the show anywhere but the primary actress had green highlights in her hair. I remember because I was in foster care with the foster mom who medicated me. It peeked my interest because of the number of times Aunt Karen had threatened to do this to me. ❤ My attitude hasn't changed either and Aunt Karen and I still clash because she is a covert narcissist.

And the fact that as soon as she made $50 million her first year as soon as she turned 18, and donated $1.7 million for scholarships, says so much about Bhad Babie. I did not like her back in 2016. I thought she was too much but I didn’t take the time to really learn much about her. I was busy building a family and a career. I’m now 32, and seeing this about her struggles, and how she came up, and how she’s used her platform, I don’t agree with all of it, but she has really tried teaching many of us about childhood trauma, about loss, problems with her parents who both equally messed up and really damaged her, she has a great view in life. She knows right from wrong. She made bad decisions, but she really has grown up, she had no choice. And she’s battled so much on her own. I hope the very best for her. I pray she gets out of that abusive relationship. She needs to be alone. Just her and her babygirl. Once she is alone, without her nasty mother & her physically abusive boyfriend, she’ll be able to be herself. That’s where she’ll thrive. And so will her babygirl. She is tired of being told what to do. And how to do everything. Stop controlling her. Let her breathe. She needs this. I really hope the next time we hear about her, she’s better. As someone who grew up in "troubled teen centers" I can attest to the fact that these places leave children in worse shape than when they came in. Most of the issues a difficult teenager has, they will age out of naturally with time. These places can cause additional injury, such as stunted development, social and generalized anxiety, trust issues, depression, social awkwardness, su*c*dal ideation, issues with emotional regulation, problems establishing and sticking to personal boundaries, trouble maintaining healthy relationships, disordered eating and sleep cycles, isolation... the list goes on and on. The teenage years are a tumultuous time where support, understanding, Parience and unconditional love are so important and effect what a person will become on the other side. These institutions strip children of all the things they need in order to become stable, healthy adults and leave them insecure, unsure, unstable and ill equipped to face lifes challenges. Get your kids in good, reputable, intensive therapy and psychiatric services and get yourself support services and parental tools/education classes. These resources will do a world of good.
@BitOfEvrythingOo027 күн бұрын
The system is failing kids and has been for a long time. And some people should not be parents. My grandparents had 8 kids and had to give some of them up due to the abuse they inflicted. My uncle went to a boys home. They didn't take care of them and barely fed them. He said the guy running it was an abusive drunk and people were selling/ doing drugs all the time. He said it wasn't much better than home but preferred it over "home". Why can't we do better as a society?

We had 5 grown ass staff members jump on top of us. 3 men and two women. I couldn’t see and couldn’t breath and felt like I was being crushed. I literally thought I was dying. It was only for one minute in reality but a minute of 500-800 lbs on top of you and being unable to fill your lungs is horrifying. After, I was crying hysterically in front of the whole cafeteria which is really embarrassing when you want to look tough in a place like that. I couldn’t breath for a week. I got no medical outside of right after. I was strip searched all the time as a child which apparently they aren’t supposed to to, they do it. There were many horrors there. As a “grown” person, I’m disgusted at all the people who took advantage of a child. Even the people who gave her a record deal, gave her campaigns, it’s all so twisted. This young girl needed guidance and stability. Not everyone cashing in. I hate that we live in a world where people are encouraged, no matter the age, to capitalise of a less than ideal perception of them. But also concerned about the people, the kids who bought into her brand of “bhad”. It’s just so sad and paints a generation of disenfranchised youths.

Her mom seems shady as hell. Send HER to a "program" to shovel shit 😂 her dad is no better. Never in her life then his answer is send her away for a couple years of treament THEN she can live with him and his new family. The answer to these types of ppl is always send my kid away to "fix" never EVER recognizing their own part in this situation.

"That‘s between them and the facility“ you should know about the conditions there before you send a child there… that‘s definitely your fault since parents apparently came to you for help

Wow. She’s done more than a 360.. 480? I hope she finds her peace and gets away from her man before he does something she can’t recover from. She meant to post those photos of her injuries, just wasn’t ready to keep them up and likely paid a price for the time they were public from him. 😢

The absolutely most dangerous part is trying to leave. Esp if the abuser knows or suspect that the victim is trying to leave... most women killed by a partner are killed when they try to leave....

Danielle definitely did some bad things as a child, but gosh if those acts weren’t the loudest cry for help. The adults in her life failed her so badly when she was essentially screaming, jumping, pointing that she wasn’t ok.

I’m not even halfway thru but I hope it talks about all the good she’s done. I don’t remember the specifics of all off the top of my head but a couple instances along with hearing some of the programs she’s started and donated to… made me like her and feel bad for all the jokes I made when she was young (not that she’s not still young) Edit: almost at the end and I’m so glad you mentioned that :) you got my like!

I once looked up and saw my 14-year-old brother driving the family's van down the street! I can't believe he never got in trouble for it. It would never have occurred to me to do such a thing. My parents seemed to think it was cute. (My brother died of an overdose.) I think they should have been a little more upset.

I wish this was the story that was told. She was a kid who dealt with trauma the only way kids know now. It's terrifying that when kids act out, adults don't see that as a cry for help. Kids are humans and have to be acknowledged as such. Danielle was never seen as human to the people around her. Those folks, including Dr. Phil and her mother, monetized her "bad girl" image, which was her essentially cosplaying Blackness. Her father's actions were too little too late. She deserved better. The irony is not lost on me that she made a diss song about someone else who cosplayed Blackness.

Seeing how the adults in her life not only failed her, but never bothered to ask the important questions to why she behaved like this. I think there are adults who either forget what’s it’s like to be a child or just don’t care. Therefore they miss the opportunity to really make an impact on “troubled kids” lives, by providing empathy and treating kids like their fellow human. Here’s to the future adult generations to do better, by our children.

danielle’s life resonates with me, i also acted out bad and was constantly treated horrible because of it when in reality i had a bunch of trauma young i was sent to a group home because of it & still to this day nobody knows the actual reason i “acted out” nobody cared to actually find out the reason but they loved threatening to send me off & keep me isolated from everyone because i was a “bad influence”

I'm only laughing because I SURVIVED Baltimore City WITHOUT Addiction or Arrest - but when I moved to Baltimore County, I got an arrest charge for breaking up a fight in front of my own house, after a dozen girls came around to beat up my niece and my daughter. What was the charge? Assault and battery of a minor How? I said "STOP!" and put my hand out, so I touched her WHERE did she end up??? Olivia ends up being put on a 2 part Marry Povich bootcamp episode, where the mother the filed charges against me said "I can not control my daughter." Ironically, my friend's daughter was on that show too, because her mother created a story of attention. Amber was actually a really good kid. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, the same year that my father was paralyzed in a back operation...... I went the exact opposite way, I became Dis-ILLUSIONED, instead of being a financed influencer of fantasy. In the real world, this girl needed structure, responsibility and someone that would stand up to her! I ended up living in the real world and at 5' 2" an known as "The Intimidator" because keeping it real offends the fantasy of others created facts.

Bro the worst part about Dr Phil continuing to do this stuff is that he isn’t even a licensed professional anymore. He stopped renewing in 2006 claiming he didn’t need to anymore, and California backed him up stating his TV show is more about entertainment than it is psychology. When he treated Britney Spears in 2008 and helped get her under conservatorship, he was doing so illegally since he had no license. He’s legally not allowed to be involved in any part of treatment or reccomending treatment at this point and yet hosts a show all about “helping” mentally and psychologically struggling people. He’s a criminal and a menace and the powers that be let him run rampant while literally granting him immunity from HIPPA and Ethical Obligations for the sake of “entertainment”. The only reason he can get away with skirting HIPPA and such is because he doesn’t actually charge anyone for the “services” he provides through the show! There’s literally nothing anyone can do against him because Cali literally gave him a free pass to hurt anyone for entertainment.
