@SS-qf3pq

@make a wish Ukraine has had neo-nazi groups in the form of the azov battalion. Who are a part of the Ukrainian armed forces. But their party representation in parliament has less than 2% support of the people of Ukraine. Ukraine’s president is Jewish and has lost family to the nazis in WW2. So there are no direct threads to say that Ukrainian high command is filled with nazis. That’s just Russian propaganda. In the end of the day. Putin wants Ukraine to maintain a sphere of influence around Russia. He is not happy about the western relations that Ukraine has gained over the years. He’s also not happy that Ukrainian people actually want to be a part of the western alliance, in the EU and NATO. The sad thing is that most people don’t ask questions about why Ukraine is interested in western relations? What happened after the annexation of Crimea? Why did Putin invade Crimea right after they found natural gas reserves near Crimea? It’s easy to say everything is just propaganda. But the truth is that Putin is wrong in this case. He’s waging a war to maintain his control of power in the region.
@SS-qf3pq
@SS-qf3pq 2 жыл бұрын
@K Totci I don’t think I can agree more with everything you have highlighted here. Hypocrisy is just modus operandi for western governments. It’s also kind of high browned to listen to them pushback at stuff they did before and preach to others. Believe me, I get that… I’m saying it’s wrong when the US did it. AND, it’s wrong when Saudi Arabia does it, or Russia does it, or Pakistan does it, or India does it, or Ukraine does it. In this situation, a formal diplomatic negotiation should have preceded ratcheting of conflicts. Let’s be honest here, Russia tried to install a puppet state and failed in maintaining control of their axis state, because their Ukraine Allies got a little too greedy and lost the support of the Ukrainian people… typically if the US did something like this, they would have left, cause it’s a situation that will not work in favor of their ‘image’ in the world… Russia just didn’t get the hint, they went all in on something that was already lost, trust. There is no going back here, once Russia pull out of the conflict, Ukrainians are going to be more inclined to join NATO, which is against the interest of Russia. If Russia stay, they will be fighting guerrilla armies within their territories. Again something that they don’t really want. A failed petrostate like Russia has really nothing they can do as they head into another demise, because they got into a conflict where they just cannot win. Is there really any chance Putin survives a changing opinion of his country men, when there’s no food for summer, when there may be domestic terrorist attacks, when the economy is virtually dead. Unless these issues are addressed in a true fashion, I don’t see a peaceful resolution to the conflict once it already started…

@@ausriusdidziokas7979 I don’t intend a debate, but ….. Firstly , my assessment could be wrong and I wish it becomes wrong and be a winning situation for humanity. As proved by the events so far, there is no denial that Ukraine has been backstabbed. By sanctioning Russia, US & Allies will for sure get richer and richer but poor Ukraine bombardment continues. Before the war started, there was no attempt to stop the war from happening. In fact, as it appears now, by staying outside the war-zone, the West wanted an excuse to sanction Russia. The provocation was obvious. Ukraine response would have been different had they been informed about the type of outside support they would be getting in case of the war. Secondly, richer doesn’t necessarily mean stronger. Japan is very rich but not strong. Let us pray for sanity to prevail in the world order. Let us work for better tomorrow. Let us help ban Nukes, MOABs and WMDs. We have only one life to live and that life now poor Ukrainians are being denied of by stupid world powers. When elephants play dirty, bushes get ruined. China is economic giant not the military superpower. There is difference in being economic giant and being military superpower. China if today attacks Taiwan , it would be very hard for world to handle as economic sanctions against China would impact many countries and it will break their own supply chains. Russia + China = Real superpower as one is military superpower and the other has economic machinery. What Indian government has done in recent past is to take some dependence out from China and not only for themselves but also for other countries. Long road to go but a decent start.

Russia has been preparing for precisely this kind of contingency for the last half-decade. In 2019, Vladimir Putin signed a Sovereign Internet Law, which gives the Russian government more control over internet content but also to counteract threats to the stability and security of the internet in the country. On three instances, most recently last summer, Russia disconnected itself from the internet so that it could perform tests on Runet, a locally based network designed to step in to serve web pages in the event of a cyberattack or a deliberate outage, said Karen Kazaryn, the director of the Internet Research Institute in Moscow. If the domestic internet law does produce further RuNet isolation, Kremlin leadership may see Russia as more insulated from foreign cyber threats when considering operational blowback. Russia may become more willing to assertively target digital internet systems abroad as a result, which may pair with its efforts to physically target internet infrastructure like undersea cables. Further isolation would also technically reduce the connectivity of the internet within Russia to the outside world. This, too, could prompt changes in how operations are executed. On the state side, it is likely the Kremlin exerts tighter control over sophisticated offensive cyber operations compared to the control exerted over less sophisticated operations conducted by nonstate proxies. This is because “more advanced technical operations carry much greater strategic risk.”71 Poorly controlled or executed operations could lead to unintended escalations with foreign powers, particularly if the source of those intrusions is an entity like the GRU (military intelligence).72 Thus, something like intelligence service penetration of a foreign nation’s power grid would likely be subject to far more political oversight than a state-ignored crime ring’s hack of a small e-commerce firm, which would likely have none at all. For example, the US government has stated that hacks of US political organizations in 2016, attributed to Russian intelligence-affiliated entities,73 could only have been authorized by “Russia’s senior-most officials.”74

Sir, you're very much focused in your analysis on Putin as individual. I do not think international relations are based on individuals rather they remain largely unchanged irrespective of who's in president's chair. I would love to hear some more fundamental analysis of the causes of the new world order. I am not an expert of international relations but what I can make out from the new world order is that it's a tussle of hegemony (financially or militarily) of the west and Russia over every other country. This was there at the time of USSR and it continues till date. Only thing which changed since the USSR days is that USSR has been replaced by Russia.

If Russia is disconnected from SWIFT, the dollar will crash, because they will no longer accept dollar for their commodities eg wheat, oil,gas all of which occupy greater shares in their export basket making them one of world's largest supplier.The price would then have to be paid in RMB/Rubble/Euros.Therefore global commodities market will have to sell Dollars,causing depreciation of the Dollar and making it more difficult for the US Govt to borrow. Moreover,Russia have their own SPFS system equivalent to that of SWIFT.

With a sparse declining population, Russia is not going to get a big advantage of extra land. They will have to build infrastructure on the new land. @@rishabhsingh7826 Ukraine makes for a great buffer. I assume you are Indian right? then you know the Chicken head of India, the Siriguri Corridor and the weakness it poses Geopolitically for India, but India is lucky, the only realistic threat to this is Bangladesh and Nepal and both countries have good relations with India and have no Military ambitions, in fact BGD only spend 1.1% of GDP on Military, much lower than most of the World. Now Russia's weak point is this: from Ukraine to one of Russias big cities Volgograd (once called Stalingrad) on the Volga River, this Corridor is arguably Russia's biggest weakness, if one day, Russia's enemies would invade and control the Corridor, they will cut off Russia from it's lands in the Black sea and Caucasus regions. Russia would lose not only important land but also Black Sea access, which is important because Ports there are also usable in Winter and are not freezing like in most of Russia and they will lose their land borders with Armenia and Azerbaijan, who they have historical and strategic ties with and they would also lose access to the Caspian Sea in Central Asia. Another thing is, the lands in the Corridor from Ukraine to Volgograd on the Volga River are flat, so it's easy to invade and control, the huge Volga River can be used as a Barrier to cut Russia off from these Territories. The Nazis already attacked the Corridor in WW2 but failed at Stalingrad, as the city once was called.
