The Silmarillion Movie - Chapter 2: Túrin in Doriath | Tolkien Film Adaptation
In this second chapter of our cinematic adaptation of The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, we follow the journey of Túrin Turambar, son of Húrin. After escaping the shadow of Morgoth, Túrin finds refuge in the elven realm of Doriath, ruled by King Thingol and Queen Melian. There, under the tutelage of the elves, Túrin grows in wisdom and skill, forging a deep friendship with the valiant Beleg Strongbow. However, not all in Doriath welcome him kindly-Saeros, a noble elf, harbors envy and disdain toward the young human.
As Túrin becomes a formidable warrior, rumors spread across Middle-earth of the return of the Dragon-Helm of Dor-lómin, marking the rise of a new legend.

Wow! This is great! Thanks for your thoughtful work. While the voices could still be more lifelike, it would be possible to improve them later once you have access to better technology, just replacing the voices, right? Maybe you'll cut the full story into a movie or several, and then perhaps this step would fit in. But this is so awesome already, and that this even exists. Thank you! Here's what I like in particular: A good taste for language, both in narration and dialogues. Beautiful shots, especially Menegroth - I had no clear conception of what could be so glorious about its halls, but you did (plus the AI) - some halls look outright stunning. Wonderfully consistent characters, well animated, the dialogues fitting well. Beleg - truly beautiful looking, like an Elf should! Túrin as an adult - grim features, but handsome, and also, memorable! Great decision :). Please improve, if you can: Thingol - he looks too old and whithered. Maybe the AI can not imagine a man with grey hair that looks youthful, so I understand if it's not posssible. Melian - pleeaase give her normal clothing in future episodes. She is a woman of dignity, not someone who would offer herself to the imagination of any passer-by. Yes, she is a heavenly spirit, but that only means that she should be more aware of her dignity, and of right and wrong, and of decency.

I agree, the effort is incredible, and all that's needed is more lifelike voices. I offered to voice act/mix the voices for at least some of the male characters (free of charge). Wish I could email Cottage of Lost Play with some samples but I couldn't find their contact ://

The Curse of Morgoth…. He would have practically tormented all the souls of Creation/Ëä in the same way even after the universe of Arda, trying to deprive mortals and immortals of their free will, also thanks to the distortions of the song of the Ainulindalë caused by him (which thus caused Sin, dark and evil thoughts and actions in the souls, Natural Catastrophes, Plagues, Wars, Famines and Hopeless Deaths). Turin was chosen to free us from Morgoth too. However, we ourselves can rebel against this Fate by remembering the greatest Gifts of Eru and Elpino/Imperishable Flame his son and messenger: love and Freedom.

The highlight of this one is defo the insanely beautiful scenes in Doriath man. This not only left Turin speechless... but me as well... absolutely breathtaking... And I know its still a struggle with movement in fighting scenes... but it does seem to get better ;).

*This is true to Tolkien's lore and also greatly meaningful and inspiring and entertaining. Though the voiceover is somewhat simple, it still gives us the enchanting feeling of **_the ancient days,_** and that is what the modern Man desperately lacks and truly seeks (often inadvertently) these days.*

Oh dear, their voices! Spoils the whole thing for me. But love the quality of the AI and the story-telling. I must add, The Children of Hurin isn't my favourite Tolkien novel. People complain about Rings of Power being full of plot holes, but so is this. For example, why did it take Glaurang to get Turin to go back to check on Morwen and Neanor when he'd had plenty of opportunity beforehand? And how exactly is surviving the girdle of Mellion and getting to live with elves a curse? But ty for sharing anyway. I still enjoyed it.

@nathanmorgan3647 yeah, but how likely is it that he'd run into Neanor out of all people, considering how big middle earth is meant to be? And they did spend some happy times together too. Also, it seems strange that she and others would go out to see how Turin was doing, considering that Glaurung was around, both times lol. And he did kill Glaurung after all. Lucky Glaurung couldn't fly. And Eru Iluvatar did want his children to have freedom of choice. I mean, if you're going to curse them, do it properly lol. Turn them into a toad or give them two noses or make them bright purple. And it was their decisions to kill themselves, no one made them. I see your point though. You could argue it was the curse that made them fall in love with each other. Alternatively, everyone has their ups and downs. I'd say all those who got captured and were prisoners in Angbad were more cursed than Turin.

It was always hard to imagine what Morgoth looked like to me, being so evil & terrifying, but this has absolutely nailed it! I now have a visual! 🫣😄 I know some people don't like AI, & although it has those bad points - (or it's actually a case of how it's used, not the technology itself, like everything I suppose, knives etc 🤔) - for art like this, it's beautiful, a creation. Thanks for taking the time!
