No, we didn't ask how the sausage was made. We trusted the Chinese to do the right thing."

Always ways a fact. They parodied the labor practices in the Itchy and Scratchy movie episode as well.

It isn’t slave labour, the workers are paid and more than willing to do the work. Just done at a pay rate that’s lower than what is expected by workers in the US, which is why they win the deal to complete the work. It’s simple, the work goes to the highest... er... lowest bidder.
