Your comment is exactly what the creators of this video wanted. The disclaimer at the beginning (0:36)of the video is priceless. "Our thoughts and prayers go toward the families that fell victim to the deranged actions of THIS ONE PARTICULAR MAN." In other words because this was a black on white killing spree, the narrator has to make it known that this episode has nothing to do with race. Also, this video offers up more sympathy to the father of Phillip Adams and seemingly Adams himself rather than to murder victims.

Nope, the sensibleness is just not known. y'all live in a fantasy land. Everyone who is murdered in high profile cases get their reputations boosted to Liesville, probably including here. Dr might've felt confident enough to be an asshole to the wrong guy. Hell, the Dr is old enough to feel comfortably racist, idk, and maybe expressed explicit racism to Phillips. Is that impossible? My guesses are way better than stage 2 CTE caused a random mass shooting, which is what everyone chooses to believe cuz it's more comfy. Sometimes shit happens when u casually piss someone off to their face and just continue on w/ur day cuz u perceive yourself to be untouchable in a civilized society. But this cocky Dr just got his whole family killed cuz he was being a careless asshole on the wrong day to the wrong guy. my explanation is way more plausible cuz whatever mental illness from stage 2 CRT Phillips was experiencing, he chose that Dr for a reason, and it wasn't because the Dr was being too nice and too professional. And how many cases do y'all know about where the killer murdered someone he knew personally (and not involving money) where the victim was not causing any problems for the murderer? I know of 1 case, the Scream Killers, AND THAT'S IT! No others. How many such cases do you know? And that case is very, very different than this one. The doctor is complicit in the murder of his grandkids, himself and his wife cuz he can't keep his formerly untouchable mouth in check.

You are cooking up a scenario of an encounter that may or may not ever have happened according to you, where the doctor may or may not have been rude to him. @@WeBeatMedicare6969 You can assume that anyone who has played even a single season of football has contracted CTE. It's like smoking cigarettes. Every play for every player) causes mini fractures in brain tissue. The more hits someone has, the greater and more-numerous the fractures become. Think about it. In yours (and everyone else's) everyday life, someone bum-rush tackling them is basically the end of the day. They go home or AT LEAST take a break for an hour or so. These guys are getting hit after hit after hit, and they can take more hits because the pads protect their extremities. But you can't protect your brain from hitting your skull. His dad probably has so much guilt over this. When you think about how much pride and support he had for his son to play football throughout all of those years, not just the NFL, but as a child and a teenager. He was likely pushing him the hardest to stick with it and make it that far, pushing him to strive to be his best. And this is what football does to the brain over time. It's not his father's fault, it's not even Phillip Adams' fault, it's just the very sad fact of long-term contact sports. What Phillip Adams did to those poor people was a tragedy. They didn't deserve that, nobody does. Hopefully something will be able to detect the symptoms of CTE in the future, or maybe a test can be developed to help determine whether or not someone is suffering from it and that person can get some kind of treatment for it, or at least maybe something like a hospice care that can keep them comfortable and safe from themselves and other people. Players now are overpaid and taught that they are above the law, just like anybody who has the funds to make their criminal activities disappear. @@lizardplum6324 no need to guess. The first case found in a football player was 2005. Since this is only diagnosed post-mortem, it wasn’t until 2017 where a larger sample size (202 samples) could be researched and confirmed the link with 86% having CTE. Adams career was over by 2015. I’m sure it makes you feel better to say things like “he knew the risks but couldn’t say no to the money” but is that really accurate here? Meanwhile, I'll be sure to pray for your son! It's naturally for his little brother to want to be like him though. He went into the NFL! THE fantasy of anyone who has ever played or had a love for the game. Still if he did go that route he'd forever be chasing after his brother's shadow. Objectively speaking the NFL players are this age's gladiators in the sense that once the sport chews your body to pieces & spits you out; You have to start all over with reinventing yourself. All the glory & fame is great. It might even help you to reestablish yourself in a new career if you strike while the iron is hot. It has a sell-by date though in which all that past glory or fame won't even get you a cup of coffee at your hometown diner. Today the long game & big money seems to be in computers, programming, robotics or communications networks. Electrical engineering might be another good path for him to pursue. Your name may never be up in lights; But it's the safer bet towards having a stable life. However I understand where you're coming from too. If you discourage him from following his brother he could rebel, act out or it might just rob him of his dreams. No mother should want to do something to cause that. I've been on the receiving end of that very thing though. My dream was to go into the Air Force. When I told my parents that, both of whom grew up as military brats, I was threatened with being disowned in no uncertain circumstances. They even got my Grandma in on it & when Grandma spoke you'd best listen. She didn't play around... After that though I felt incredibly lost because while my peers already had an idea of what they would do in the future my entire plan had been yanked out from under me. I wound up as a dropout punching a card, doing lawn/garden work & scooping snow for as long as my body would allow. All that left me with permanent hearing loss, a bum back & chronic osteoarthritis. Now I work part time in a local 24 hour call center; I just can't bring myself to file for disability yet.

They may have changes in their behavior and personality, including violent outbursts, increased frustration, mood swings, and lack of interest in people and things they previously cared about and of course the victims and the victims family didn't deserved at all what's happened to them. Rest in peace.

I'm 66 and started having some memory problems at about 55. I was diagnosed 2 years ago as having moderate-stage Dementia, suspected as CTE. I was career Army and suffered a LOT of concussions on hard parachute landings (military parachuting isn't anything like civilian skydiving.) Also quite a few concussions from close explosions, etc in combat. It's terrifying. I'm an intellectual-type man and relied on my memory as a major "tool" in running my life. I'm still working out how to keep it together. BUT. There are some good medications that slow down the progression. So that gives us more time. Personally I HOPE I'll have a fatal heart attack or stroke before I completely lose my mind. As I said, it's terrifying. But trying to hide the problem is NOT the way to deal with it. This story is tragic from every direction. Two families of GOOD PEOPLE shattered. Again, anyone who's had lots of concussive incidents, BE AWARE. There is a lot to learn from the studies going on that surround CTE. I had experiences with someone who was later found to have severe CTE. It was my father in law, his moods would change at the drop of a hat and he could become very violent. We all have the ability to become angry, but with him it was very extreme and dangerous. After he passed away in a car accident (we believe it was possibly suicide) his brain was sent off to the lab that is leading the way in studying CTE. And they found that he had an extreme case of the disease and just like the man from this story his was found to mainly be in the frontal lobe. There are so many pro athletes that go on to either commit suicide, or commit violent crimes, usually murder. I know a lot of people will say this isn't true, but I experienced the affects of brain injuries and CTE first hand and I unfortunately know that it is very real and very tragic.

Just because a someone u used to like took a hit and is now an asshole doesn't mean there aren't multiple studies that show that brain damage can lead to massive change in behaviour. I got jumped by ppl I called friends, I threw someone I considered a brother through a thick wooden mirror and then I got knocked out and beat up bad. I snapped out of it and pushed myself through the ambush and made it outside. Had a gun pointed at me and I just knew I was going to die. Luckily I found a car running 6 houses down from my house. I took that car and just drove it for hours. Nowhere to go and nobody to talk too. I had a swat of cops surround me with guns drawn. I went to jail for six months and got a f5 receiving stolen property charge. Once I got out I was stuck in Dayton ohio. I didn't know a soul. I tried to kill myself but got put in a psychiatric hospital for a month. Well i found out I had a deadly mrsa infection in my knee and had to get admitted in icu. I died for 7 minutes and it saved my life. I saw my father who was killed in 2003 and he said I had big things in my future. I had to learn to walk again and live in a nursing home for 2 years. Well, I did it. I learned how to walk again, I got out of the nursing home and got myself a car, a house, and great money in my savings and I lost over 80lbs. 300lbs and now I am 214 and am so much better looking. I love life and got my family back. Now iam going to get my son back and get my relationship back with him. @missymarie26983 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was wondering that too. ALL innocent- 2 babies. I never heard anything about this.

@@gojira4036 That's not double murder unless he killed only one person from each family.
@missymarie26983 жыл бұрын
@@gojira4036 even if that’s so, then ONE would be “double”...and the others would still remain SIX, or SEVERAL.

Prayers for the souls lost. As a football player I am heartbroken by the situation. God bless the families man especially the Adam’s family that was the last thing they thought their son would do💔

I’m just listening to some of your videos while on a long drive, and God was this one heartbreaking. Especially during his dad’s interview you could really hear the pain in his voice and the disbelief. I almost started crying.

CTE is devastating and may well have had a role in the slayings but I'm still curious as to why he chose the victims he did, and heartbreakingly children as well:( He had to have a reason for picking the doctor and his family vs other persons. You did an excellent job of describing CTE by the way! It also makes sense that it affecting his frontal lobe led to this tragedy as the frontal lobe "is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as memory, emotions, impulse control, problem solving, social interaction, and motor function" (per Google). It plays a significant role in forming/affecting our personality. I think the topic you chose for this case doesn't fit though. "Sinister" doesn't seem to fit. This is a tragedy really. It doesn't appear that Phillip knew this doctor well, much less had something against him, but I could be wrong as, as I stated, despite the CTE, I do think he has some unknown motive for choosing his victim/s.
