One of the best Sister's interviews I've seen. Thanks for posting. Andrew actually seems to be enjoying himself (sort of).

5:22 a rare sight; Andrew slightly revealing his eyes lol. I wonder what NIN video they played. At that period in time, probably "Head Like A Hole" or "Down In It".

He comes across very Johnny Rotten at times. All this talk of colonialism would probably be outlawed nowadays. Shame honesty and historical fact can't be referenced any more. Shame. You can learn a lot from history.

I say thank the stars that Sister's never got singed by a shitty US label because all that would have happened is the music being fucked up and ruined. Band's that have label's based in the US lean toward top forties shit and I've seen so many great band's that once signed have gone straight to the toilet because they always get caught up in greed, which in itself is disgusting. Do yourself a favor if your talented as an artist don't take anything from the US art industry because you will end up losing that talent and just become another shitty hack band, and that's very bad. All love for Sisters of Mercy

As an American, I almost wanna be offended by that. But I'm not, and you're right. And I would've hated to The Sisters have their music watered down and bastardized. I know Andrew's gripe with record companies, and I know it'll probably never happen, not while Andrew's alive anyway... but I'd love a new Sisters record. A lot of the 'new' material they've been playing live over the last 10+ years would sound incredible on a studio album.

***** I totally agree with you, I would love to have studio versions of their new music, but even if they never do return to the studio, I still love seeing them live. The first time I ever heard their music it was live, and personally I like them live more then studio, but believe me their studio stuff is still killer in my opinion.
