The Six Pack Tour Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of A12 Mopars (Super Bees and Road Runners).

Join us on the first leg of the Six Pack Tour at Mopars in the Park in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the A12 Mopars. A12 Mopars are 1969 1/2 Dodge Super Bees and Plymouth Road Runners that came equipped with 3 2-BBL carburetors, a 390 Horsepower 440 cubic inch engine, a fresh air lift-off fiberglass hood, 15x6 black H.D. wheels, and a 4,10:1 Dana rear.

I am so jealous or left out. I'm(not) the creator of the 6bbl but was in engine development in 69. I acctually installed and power ran the first aluminum intake form a outside vendor at Chrysler. I did 3 bolt cam gear and chain upgrade that is on the 70. The rocker corrections, anti scuff to the cylinder design. And i wonder how many people are here that i worked with. I also drove for lots of pistol grip shifter development. That includes trans synchro blocker rings exc. upgrades. Best job ever and my honorable discharge got it for me. Hope to see this show in Mich. Around Brighton would be great.

This reminds me of the days back in the early 1970s when I owned a 1969 Dodge hemi super bee but it was real pain in the ass to keep in tune but when it was in tune it would fly !

A friend and fellow Mopar freak, as we were called back then had picked up a 71 Charger RT 440 six pack in B7 blue with a Mod top and matching Mod interior. I didn’t know what the Mod package was then, I told him to take the shelf paper off it. He tried to explain how rare it was. I told him syphilis was rare too but no one wants it! He wishes he had the car now!

I had one of those in 1969 bought it new at sponsceller Dodge still have all the paper worked cost 3500

Rite on man, that's cool, just seen on that has a painted black top I wondered if any were that way, I have a 69 roadrunner not a A12 , but I'm currently buy things for it, I have no fender tag but it's sat for 35 yrs all original, but appears to have a painted white top

I am a Chevy guy and love these restored cars but i can not help noticing how many of them have one VERY BIG DETAIL missing on a lot of these cars that was done at the factory. Black paint behind the grill no matter the color chosen of the cars exterior. The black one gets a pass muster.

on the a12 cars was the intake manifold painted orange from factory or left in its natural aluminum color

Quick story. I worked in Chrysler engineering and we could buy executive lease returns, often current year. In 70 i bought a lease return super bee, hemi with all deletes and one add on,the scoop package, $2,750 and Chrysler gave you $500.00 to pay for the outrageous insurance. I had built a faster car and sold this right away. Shucks i had my lottery win and didn't even know it. Follow the fun.
