Me too :), I think it was after Achtung Baby.. actually I worked for Versa foods for 2 summers in the late 80s as well so got to see lots of concerts serving food at Exhibition Stadium.

The CNE also has a skyride before this version which uses 4 passenger enclosed cabins built by VonRoll Engineering and would allow round trips as opposed to this current chairlift where you can travel only one way

CNE Opening Day appears quite crowded. In a strange way, it's a good thing you had Covid a short time ago. Right now you have super immunity and can't catch it again.

@@gabygaedecke2411 In order to recover from Covid, the body has to build up immunity from the disease.That immunity is stronger than any vaccines, Those who got Covid twice must have caught it much later, after the immunity has waned. Or caught a very different mutated strain of Covid.

My annual pilgrimage to the CNE was mostly to the historical buildings, including the Scadding Cabin (1792) one of the first homes in the city of York. The Air Show (despite the loud noise) was always an attraction as well. And of course trying some of the ridiculously unhealthy foods on offer.

I’m retired so you’ll know what I mean when I say that this CNE is just a poor sliver of the CNE from years ago. So sad to see that it’s now just a glorified country fair ground.
