Honestly this franchise deserves better. Despite having its major flaws, the Arrowverse has given us some of the best DC content we've ever had than what WB has been trying to do with their movies

DC forcing them to disconnect S&L from the Arrowverse after making all of its initial shows take place on the same Earth and making multiple references to that event AND bringing back a character who makes those references. Diggle even looked like the same in the season finale with the same hairstyle and clothes as he did in a Flash episode from a couple weeks ago. there's literally a scene at the end of COIE where Lois calls Clark about "the boys". even if you hate the Arrowverse or The CW in general, leading the fans on like this was a dick move.

The biggest tragedy to come out of the Arrowverse is how they denied the opportunity of John Diggle, a fan favorite character who grew into one of the most stable and reliable characters of the Universe since the 1x3 of Arrow, into becoming John Diggle Stewart the Green Lantern after they teased the fanbase after years.

Here’s what happened with Superman and Lois not being a part of the arrowverse. Originally it was part of the Arrowverse on Earth Prime as we know by the setup at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths as well as Diggle’s appearance in season 1. Todd Helbing (the show runner) said that at some point during season 1 WB told them to not make it a part of the arrowverse; but by that point the script and filming for the episode where Diggle appeared was probably already done and it was too late to change it, cause keep in mind when season 1 was filmed to 2 week quarantine rule was still in affect where you had to quarantine for 2 weeks once you arrive where the project you’re involved with films. So when it came time for season 2 they had to make it disconnected from the arrowverse. As for why WB told them to do that hasn’t been revealed but here’s my theory. So my guess is that since Discovery at the time was still in talks of buying WB, WB wanted to end whatever they could on their terms since Discovery would then be calling the shots, that and I think that WB wanted/wants to move away from the arrowverse given that they have the DCEU and they didn’t want to have 2 live action connected DC universes occuring at the same time anymore. I mean Arrow, Supergirl, and Black Lightning ended; Batwoman and Legends were cancelled; Stargirl and now Superman and Lois take place on different earths; Naomi took place on another earth; Gotham Knights will take place on another earth. So once Flash ends the arrowverse is over.

To be honest I think the Arrowverse died right after Crisis. The shows just never felt like they exist in the same universe ever since Arrow ended (Legends of Tomorrow even stopped being a superhero show). And don't get me started on the quality... I also sometimes feel like the Arrowverse was never really great (save for a couple of Arrow seasons and maybe Flash). It had it's fan base and I personally loved it for what it was, but compared to some other superhero shows like the MCU ones (most notably on Netflix), they were always seen as stupid CW shows by the general audience. I mean even some of the crossovers, which were considered the greats of the universe and were all praised by the fandom, had some cheesy dialogue and questionable writing. But they were still very enjoyable and I personally loved them for what they were, like many other fans. But as I look at it now, none of the Earth-Prime shows ended with a good season (except for Arrow). They all declined in quality until they died (including The Flash which is still not finished, but I doubt the next season would make it good). It's sad to see the Arrowverse go out like this, but I guess all things must come to an end eventually. I just hope we can have some good DC shows in the future.

It's kinda sad that the arrowverse is now dead. I grew up watching the arrowverse and I remember watching many reviews on the shows such as this channel. It was all such a fun time but the arrowverse never recovered in my opinion after Arrow ended. They did this to themselves which is quite unfortunate. They made crap after crap and it seemed like they weren't trying anymore. It's sad cause the universe could of lasted many years if they tried a bit more after Arrow ended and hired quality writers for their shows.

They did try to do that with Superman & Lois but at that point, it was already too late. I think it also had something to do with the AT&T and Warner Media merger as clearly during that period, they gave such good care and attention to detail for a show like Superman & Lois probably because they wanted to rejuvenate the character for audiences, but then the Warner/Discovery merger happened, and now it seems like they will probably bring back Henry Cavill's Superman or a completely new Superman for the movies and in turn, I don't think the latter seasons of the show will have the same amount of care, effort and budget put into it as what S1 and S2 had. I have this sinking feeling that this show has already been abandoned by Warner Bros Discovery, and from this point onwards, they are gonna be trying to kill off this show as well, as they did with the Arrowverse.

It sucks that we never got green arrow and the Canaries or painkiller spin off shows. I dont understand why they said no to those 2 and decide to give us naomi and gotham knights instead which sound way worse in comparison. Arrow could of still lived on with Green Arrow and the Canaries spin off new arrowverse show same with Painkiller being the new spin off show for Black Lightning but unfortunately only supergirl got a spin off with Superman and Lois and I heard it was suppose to be part of the arrowverse but they made todd change some scenes. I heard s1 was originally suppose to mention supergirl have pictures of him with Kara and other arrowverse things as well but they had to remove lots of arrowverse references s1.

Don't get me wrong; the guy was a garbage human being but you can trace the drastic decline in quality to his removal from the shows. Especially Legends of Tomorrow. That was his baby and it was dropped down the stairs on it's head when he was canned!

Honestly it felt like WB has been wanting to kill the Arrowverse for a long time, even as far back as Arrow S2 as they were told to kill off the Suicide Squad, for the movie that they themselves are now retconning out of canon, at the start of S3, which was originally planned to play a much bigger role in S3 and S4 resulting in a very different 3rd and 4th season (mostly 4th as they were meant to play a bigger role towards the end of S3 rather than the beginning and that's arguably where the downfall of the Arrowverse began). That right there shows you the amount of respect they had for this universe even back when it was considered not just great, but mostly better than the movies they were producing. So I'm not really surprised at all that they're trying to end this franchise considering how it's not even a shell of itself now and there's no respect for it amongst the general viewer anymore. Favourite season: Arrow S2/The Flash S1 (can't decide).

The real-life explanation for Superman & Lois being separated from the Arrowverse is that with the CW possibly up for sale they didn't want to get caught in a royalties issue every single time they referenced a character from another show. It’s unfair to not take Covid (lockdowns, hiatuses, and filming regulations) into account. They ended 2019 with an entirely new connected Earth, just for crossovers to be banned and every show having to end their seasons halfway through the second half. The joke about the most of the justice league having left before ever appearing again probably wouldn’t have been true in a world where their following seasons didn’t have to play last year‘s catch up, whilst also making sure to not have more than five actors in a scene.

I will list them in no particular order -Decline of quality over the seasons -Consistent cringe wokeness alienating viewers along with bad writing/storylines -Main characters consistently being background characters in their own show -Continued use of outdated 20+ episode villain of the week format despite being outdated -Alternatives being available on other platforms with bigger budgets and more buzz -KZbinrs moving on and not covering it as much fading Arrowverse further into obscurity -Generally people just growing out of it and moving on to other things -CW being a laughing stock in general -HBOmax I can name more. Far more but we'll be here all day. You get the idea. I remember a period when The Flash was so hot some youtubers full time job was just discussing the show. It had a good run. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm afraid it is time to move on.

I thinking that Discovery cancells and ending their shows shows for introducing the characters in the rebooted DCEU. But if they should do a new DC Tv Universe on HBO Max. i want: -a Batman show (if Discovey will not do the "we didn't give to TV the best heroes 'cause we wanted those heroes in the movies" thing that annoys me) where we see a young Batman. who later crossover with S&L in a World's Finest miniseries. -Also a The Flash reboot series (where i want a more comic book Flash. and also MORE Wally pls) -a Green Lantern show where John Diggle is trained by an old Hal Jordan would be cool (if they wanted to make this version of Diggle Green Lantern) -and after those shows. they finally do a Justice League series where every year the characters meet in every season to fight the main villain (something like the Avengers movies but on TV and every year) Or also. with The Flash movie who should change the DCEU (who i hope mantaining the good stuff like the Shazam movies, Aquaman movies with Mera recasted, Wonder Woman movies, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, and recasting Superman, Batman and The Flash). would change also some earths of the Multiverse. and then they should fuse Superman & Lois with also Titans and Doom Patrol and trying to build a new universe from this shows (Stargirl wouldn't not included and be is own thing)

DC forcing them to disconnect S&L from the Arrowverse after making all of its initial shows take place on the same Earth and making multiple references to that event AND bringing back a character who makes those references. Diggle even looked like the same in the season finale with the same hairstyle and clothes as he did in a Flash episode from a couple weeks ago. there's literally a scene at the end of COIE where Lois calls Clark about "the boys". even if you hate the Arrowverse or The CW in general, leading the fans on like this was a dick move.

But it might be a good thing that Superman and Lois takes place on another earth because in Supergirl they made that version of Superman too weak and always get outshined by Supergirl and pretty much made Superman a B tier hero. But no, they had to retcon this show to a different universe where nothing he does was ever canon to Kara's cousin, and so by making this stronger Superman just a multiverse doppelganger rather than a continuation of the Arrowverse Superman, they stopped the redemption of Superman. Now I really only watch the Flash and Superman & Lois. Every other show either ended or is hot garbage. I stopped watching Legends after season 3, stopped watching Supergirl after season 2, and was never really interested in Black Lightning from the get go. And don't even get me started on Batwoman. I’d have to say Arrow season 2 or 5 and The Flash Season 1 were the best. I completely agreed with your rankings of which seasons were good and bad. I enjoyed Legends until around the time they first started using Constantine. As the seasons went on it became less about superhero’s and more about whacky comedy. I think the success of the first Bebo episode led to their downfall. Legends had way too many team changes and botched the exits of old characters. I liked Supergirl when they had Reign, Agent Liberty and Lex as the villains. Batwoman blah, Alice was good but overused, then the show died when Ruby Rose left. I never watched Black Lightning. Star Girl has been enjoyable, the second season had a cool horror theme to it.

Black Lightning is so underrated….especially for a black superhero tv show. Supergirl was great, Batwomen was terrible until Ryan came in during Season 2. Legends of Tomorrow was great at first but went down hill but started to go back up until it was canceled. Stargirl is great and hopes it keeps going. Superman and Lois i haven’t watched it. Arrow was great. Flash is going downhill but has its great moments in terrible seasons. Naomi was slow but it became great and should have gotten another chance. This franchise has been dying for so long and as proven it this video some of the fans don’t give any of the other shows a chance, it deserved better

Completely different universe* from the multiverse, one out of the infinite ones where they already knew John Diggle and Oliver Queen and also in this universe Oliver probably died during Crisis on Infinite Earths but he didn't become the Spectre afterwards, if infinity is the limit of possibility in the multiverse then there is literally an infinite possibility of that happening in one of the universes of the multiverse. That being said, I'm definitely certain that it was initially planned to be in the Arrowverse and they are backpedaling in S2, because the writing for S1 was already completed by the time DC/WB told them to separate it from the Arrowverse.

I personally think it's high time, the arrowverse was put out of it's misery. "Crisis of infinite cringe" didn't live up to the hype and was a waste of eight years of my live. Arrow and flash went up their own a $$ during their third seasons. Supergirl and legends were good, but were comfy tv at best and not for everyone. Don't know what the writer's were thinking with Batwohmen. My advice: besides stargirl and superman and Lois, check Netflix's vertigo comic titles. (Izombie, Lucifer, sandman etc.) Those shows are at least respectful to their fanbases, with the former two ending on a high note.

The way how they present the shows for DC they always have very good momentum for 1-3 seasons then the downfall begins for the creative direction & the viewership starts to decline due to the writing of the characters. i’m not one for shows with a darker tone, but arrow was great. season 2 is my favorite arroweverse season, i think. the flash wasn’t my favorite from the beginning, but it was alright at first. i stopped watching halfway through s5. just couldn’t deal with it anymore. supergirl was good for a while, s1 was slow, but had its moments. the cw took over after that, and i really did enjoy seasons 2 and 3. declined pretty fast after that, and s6 was absolutely horrendous, poorly written, rushed, made no sense, and seemed to forget that kara is the main character. legends of tomorrow seemed weird to me at first but quickly became my favorite, and it remains that way. the quality is all over the place from season to season, but the ensemble cast works quite well, and they’ve embraced the weirdness without ever taking themselves too seriously. i hated batwoman s1, couldn’t finish it, but then i skipped right to s2 and that i found much more enjoyable. not the greatest, but i did finish the show and the cancellation was upsetting. black lightning i never finished, i dont even know why, since i did like the first couple of seasons a lot. never saw stargirl or superman and lois, and i dont intend to.

i think what they will and should do is that flash ends on season 10. with the finale being barry and eobard going back in time, with eobard trying to kill barry. that future flash we saw tell barry not to save his mom in season 1? that is gonna be the barry from the season 10 finale. and barry saving his kid self, that's going to be the end of the show. if it isn't, they missed a perfect opportunity.

Now Eobard has create the flash again so he can return to his time because he lost his speed due to Barry Allen (as a child) not being the flash yet. Because Eobard got motivated by Barry to become a Speedster.

To be fair, i had huge hype at the beginning of Arrowerse, with S1 Flash crossover with S2/S3 Arrow. After that, i was interested with the special crossover shows, and it became more and more cringe trough years. Arrow became unwatchable for 3/4 of their seasons, Flash became a joke full on inconsistency and taking viewers for dumb dumb with changing rules 10x per episode or snapping fingers for their powers or else (come on, light saber fights between speedster was so stupid), they also ruined Thawn for nothing making him pitiful and not as menacing as S1... Batwoman was a failure WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAN POWEEEEEEEEEEEEEER since day 1, and change of cast was the pinacle of how bad the show is, whatever cast they do... Legends of Tomorrow started seriously, became a parody of itself having serious characters acting like 10 years old kids all the day and promote LGBT so loudly it's agonizing... Supergirl was what... All about romance cheesy and family matters with characters crying and complaining all day long... What else... Superman and Lois... I would say i don't quite understand. Crisis on Infinite earths literally put this show inside the Arrowverse, then it's totally disconnected, but still we have Diggle coming up and mixing with it... Have some faith with your choice CW... Yeh. in 2013-2016, i was really into it, not lying. A huge fan of all. But let's be honest, it became a joke and a synonymous of downfall. You look Arrow S2 and other seasons post S4, you look Flash S1 and other seasons post S2... It's just like different shows, with total disrespect of the build up from the beginning. I mean, Flash S1, time travel is a big deal, it's dangerous, it's difficult... Flash S8, you have guys going back to the future or past like i piss everyday, you have guys snapping their fingers then going anywhere to enjoy life (hello Mr. original Wells i am just a dude but universe excused to me by giving me godly power so i just go back with my waifu all the time...), also, where the fuck is original Wells in The Flash in 2022? Post crisis, he helps Flash once, then go back with his lady... And so what, where is he? Why nobody cares about a huge facility like Star Lab being handled by... 3 people? A doctor, a foreign scientist, a nerd? Government never once said "eh, we should do something about this overpriced / overpowered facility now nobody really adapted is in charge". I mean, Team Flash is basically squatters... ...You know, i can enjoy shows without logic just for pleasure, if it's like that since day 1. My problem with Arrowverse is: they were serious, they were mature, then they became quite opposite not even respecting their own spirit or rules or whatever. And they erased characters to bring more to erase to forget... I mean, remember Rory from Arrow? Or Arsenal?... And who the fuck is Allegra again? Or Cecile? Side characters having 50% of screen time but no purpose except chatting? Then, Iris being a blogger, A BLOGGER, without founds (her dad is a cop, she's not rich...), being able to hire 5-6 people as "journalists" (what a joke), and holding a big company without even having to manage something (Iris is basically captive 50% of all the seasons, or is here yelling orders as leader of Team Flash (what a joke), and her "company" is all prosperity and her minions all here doing little articles but having no financial issues... For Pete's sake, they even mention she got 2 Pulitzer prices in the future... What a joke for real journalists. Just saying, it's from DC where you have huge deal like Daily Planet with real deal redactor in chief and journalists... Here you have some girl without qualification holding "Citizen", when she was... A BLOGGER in S1, and never once achieve her studies or worked hard (never showed), but now big PDG of her own company being able to pay rent for a building holding her company and hiring mutliple minions doing... What? Articles? There is no real Journal in Central City? No concurrency? WTF is wrong with this show? It's like watching Teen Titans GO after Teen Titans: you can enjoy both shows for what they are, but never once you can considerate they are the same. Anyway...

Mate I think you'll be better off switching to 'The Boys', I have myself and unlike the CW shows it has no restrictions to what characters can do/say and it's such a refreshing take on the superhero genre as a whole. Like I've been a massive fan of your videos since 2017 watching all of your Flash, Arrow and LOT content and yeah as you have correctly stated in this video, the Arrowverse is pretty much dead these days, imo I felt it ended after COIE, nothing's really been the same since. I mean I do catch up with Flash from time to time through KZbin clips, but I've lost interest in keeping up with it religiously like I did 2 years ago. The show maybe doing ok now to some of the fans but it's nowhere near the quality it was in S1-2, even to an extent S3. Plus the departures of Carlos Valdes and Hartley Sawyer deeply impacted the show in a negative way, then with Tom Cavanagh being only reserved to Reverse Flash meaning he's not in the show much either. I'd say Arrow S2 still holds the top ranking for me, S5 is a close second, Flash S1 is my favourite with S2 being close, then LoT S2 -S3 as well, they were all superb seasons.

I freaking hate the Arrowverse now, but I’ll never forget those first seasons of the Flash and Arrow. To me, they defined what a superhero show should be that WB and CW ruining Arrowverse by WB not allow CW do certain character cause WB thought us fan would be confuse if there two Batman on TV and movie and I remember WB made CW kill off certain character or didn't allow CW do character and CW kill it by focus on storyline that we don't care about like how many episodes we had to watch oliver and felicity force love each other which fun fact both actor dislike that idea but CW didn't care

Personally, I've never liked Superman as a character or hero in general, so Superman and Lois was a no go for me from the start. Supergirl was just a more pandering version of Superman, which made that show a bit of a non-starter for me. Loved Arrow all the way through, except for season 4, season 6 and the second half of season 7. The Flash lost me after Season 4 with bad writing and awful new characters. I didn't bother with Batwoman. Legends of Tomorrow honestly gets a bad rap for going the more campy, fun route, but I will die on this hill. I thought it was a breath of fresh air with really interesting characters and character development. The Legends always felt more relatable than all the other high and mighty heroes because they weren't really heroes; they were always a group of outcasts and misfits trying to find or accept their true calling or repent for past mistakes while trying to keep the timeline safe. Anyone, superpowers or not, could contribute to the team in their own way. While the writing was sometimes a miss and I'll admit the show wasn't perfect by any means, Legends ended up being my favorite behind prime Arrow. I think viewers treat the Legends like they're supposed to be superheroes when they're just a band of misfits trying to keep it together to solve problems and better themselves. It was the most creative of all the Arrowverse shows, and they weren't afraid to push the boundaries of the genre. I think many people dislike it because they didn't take it as seriously as other shows, but that's in my opinion what made Legends so great. I never knew what to expect on the show, and even the worst episodes with the most outlandish series of events taking place were always just fun to watch. I had to take off the overly critical glasses to get into it, and I'm honestly glad I did.

If they'd actually tried to be superhero shows and not romance dramas they wouldn't have ended up like this. The romance should have been small side plots with couples that made sense not like the put together out of nowhere Olicity which was only done to appeal to some teen girls and middle aged divorcees who deluded themselves that if Felicity could get Oliver they could get a guy like him in real life. Superhero stuff should be aimed at men and women who like them not teens who just want to watch the heroes fuck their spouses.

Finally someone with a similar opinion lol i also loved arrow from season 1-2, 5-8. loved Flash season 1 and 2 season 3 started going downhill from there on. Black Lightning wasn't bad, I watched the whole thing. Legends I gave up on it after season 3 because it became a comedy show Supergirl and Batwoman i actually tried watching but couldn't go past either show after episode 2 each Stargirl has been pretty cool and enjoyable Naomi was type boring, didn't go past episode 3 Superman & Lois has been amazing so far. Fan Opinion: things could had been a lot better if they would had done other big characters such as wonderwoman, batman, instead of batwoman and supergirl then eventually introduce green lantern in the mix and stuck with diggle actually becoming gl since after crisis they were working their way up to the jl unfortunately due to certain rights none of this could had gone down.

The Flash just isn't all great either not since season 2. It's like a soap opera some great episodes and others are terrible the only arrowverse show that was a masterpiece and got better in every single season with not one bad episode was Arrow. It's my personal favourite number 1 show of all time and it never dissapointed me. I just knew the arrowverse wasn't going to last long when Arrow ended because now they're literally all cancelled. Arrow felt a lot like Batman it was dark,gritty,violent,perfect character development,amazing fight scenes,great storylines,and it defiantly had the best villains Arrow is an example of what all superhero shows should be. And you'd think the Flash writers would take notes but it just went downhill after season 2 unfortunately. And yes I loved season 3 and 4 of Arrow and found them absolutely outstanding just as good as all of the other seasons. Man I miss Arrow so damn much but I'm glad it had it's time with 8 amazing masterpiece seasons unlike the rest of the arrowverse. I agree with everything you said about the Flash it just got worse and worse in every seaosn.

Arrow was so bad that after s6 I literally gave up on it. S3,5,6 all were bad while s4 was 🤮 The CW DC wants to focus more on team expansion than on story leaving their lead characters to look incompetent or weak. Arrow on the other hand tried to hard to be Batman and instead made him a watered down version of Batman when it had so much potential with GA comics instead of pulling from Batman to stay relevant.

@@FriendlyBatDoom This is one of the biggest problems with The Arrowverse and one of the other biggest problems with The Arrowverse is that they didn’t give us actual members of The Flash Family and The Arrow Family, let me explain, in Arrow they tried to make heroes that aren’t apart of The Arrow Family and have nothing to do with The Arrow Family in the comics, members of The Arrow Family and they failed miserably, these heroes are The Atom, Wilddog, Ragman, and Mr. Terrific, The Flash did this to a bigger extent, they also tried to make heroes that aren’t apart of The Flash family and have nothing to do with The Flash Family in the comics, members of The Flash Family and they also failed miserably, these heroes are Vibe, Allegra, Chester, Elongated Man, and Cecile, they also tried to do the same thing with Killer Frost and Chillblaine and they also failed miserably. It’s a shame that both The Flash Family and The Arrow Family hasn’t been done well aside the comics, now to be fair, Arrow did add and create new members of The Arrow Family and Arrow Season 4, despite that season being godawful, did do an amazing job with The Arrow Family, but as a whole, they didn’t do a good job with The Arrow Family, and The Flash Family hasn’t been done Justice at all, now to be fair we did get to see them in action in an at the end of Seasons 3, 7, and 8 and in an episode of Season 4, but as a whole, The CW Flash TV Show hasn’t done a good job with them at all, hopefully in the next Flash project, The Flash Family will be done Justice and in the next Green Arrow project, The Arrow Family will handled amazingly.
