The Smithereens Induction into the New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction, Class of 2018, inducted on October 27, 2019! In order: Garry W. Tallent's (of the E Street Band) induction speech, followed by a presentation video narrated by Jim Monaghan (of WDHA,) followed by Jim Babjak accepting for Liza DiNizio (the late Pat DiNizio's daughter) and Mrs. DiNizio (Pat DiNizio's Mom,) and then Jim Babjak's, Dennis Diken's, and Mike Mesaros' individual acceptance speeches. Congratulations to The Smithereens on this well deserved honor! 2020 marks The Smithereens 40th year as a band!

I was blessed to hang out with Pat for a full weekend when he came to St. Louis doing a living room Concert.. Pat was an AMZAMING person... I cherish those memories to this very day..

I was fortunate enough to get to hang out and get to know these guys a number of times back in the day. They were always very humble, friendly and always appreciated their fans. Some great memories. Hope Jimmy, Dennis and Mike are all doing well!

Was there any mention of "the thrilla"? I only ever saw them with him. His bass playing and stage presence as part of the unit was outstanding.
