The whole “warp storms isolated the sol system” doesn’t make sense when it comes to inter system travel which can be done in years from say earth to Pluto. So each planet being isolated doesn’t really make sense

Gene stealer cults are related to tyranids, although GSC are awesome, while nids are the worst faction in 40k. The gene cults were a bunch of weird women on the moon who preserved knowledge of genetic engineering from the dark age of technology that the Emperor forced into helping create his post human monsters.
