There are a lot of VERY interesting chapters Gee Dubs either ignores or destroys in the lore. Which is why I was surprised when the Soul Drinkers got reconstituted. They really are neat. . though I am a bit annoyed the only Ultima Founding attributed to the Imperial Fist lineage is probably actually an Emperor's Children successor; they didn't have to do the Sons of Dorn dirty like that.

Now I can't stop picturing the wild geese as space marines; Fighting off a crusade of Vatican Space Orks and Nazi Daemons, Whose sister of battle is a rather well endowed blonde women... That for some reason much to the confusion of other Astartes, Is simply and unceremoniously referred too as 'Police Girl'. The head of the Battle sisters section of the church, Is a cigar smoking women who takes zero shit from anyone and has instilled fear and sexual arousal in to the hearts of her enemy's... It is rumoured that though sheer will alone she somehow is older than the God Emperor himself... Partly because she's really self conscious about her age, But mostly because anyone who's asked disappeared without a single trace they ever existed. The church is rather unique in that it is located in the Londinum sector on Terra, Legend say's that long ago it was once the home of a hard to amuse Empress who ruled with an iron fist over a long gone once great empire. Then their is that one bloke who everyone refers to as 'The Crimson Fucker', Which in spite of the name, Seems to be treated more like a child with serve anger and indiscriminate murder issues.

In the grimdarkness of the far future, there is still wholesome stories like this. Fulgrim would be proud of his son here, a genuine, if a bit reluctant, father figure to Kit. And seeing Kit being a full-fledged Space Marine serving under the now captain who saved him long ago was very sweet and heartwarming. Plus that sniper who shot the Drukarii witch deserves some credit too, showed up in the nick of time and in a badass way. That whole seen was so awesome! "Oh? I really want Fulgrim to be redeemed. It was heart breaking that he got cursed when one of his mantras was something along the lines of "the strong should not look down on the weak, they should elevate them to the same level.
