To be fair to the movie, I think at the end of a stage in the original Sonic games, he jumps through a giant ring into bonus stages or to the next stage. That being said, I think this movie's gonna be kinda dull. Would've definitely preferred a more Mobius setting instead of this.

I'm so used to the redesign now and it's surreal because I was there pointing and laughing when the trailer came out fully expecting for this to be their "best". I wasn't a sonic fan at the time and I can't imagine the disappointment actual fans must have felt. But with how sharply things got turned around for the sonic movies post-redesign, that first trailer drop feels like a fever dream now. It's so weird. And in that time since, the first movie started me on the road to becoming an actual fan of everything sonic.

Reporting 5 years from the future Sonic 3 just premiered on cinemas it's December 20th 2024. The movie is everything a Sonic fan could ask for not just a great Sonic movie but an amazing movie all around tons of amazing sh.t awaits this franchise. The SCU is actually becoming a thing with Sonic 4 being slated to release in April 2027. There will probably be a Shadow movie or show before the 4th movie judging by the end credits of this movie. Looking forward to the future
