@chandlerrose45454 жыл бұрын
Chris Civatte And women today are under the misconception that they can go toe to toe with a man. The reality is we aren’t as strong as men, we are built differently. Even if the man is smaller than you. One solid punch to the face and that’s it. Are there exceptions? Sure. I have a cousin that’s 6’3 and looks like she could snap a redwood tree over her knee. This scene shows what actually happens if a man decides to go after you and you don’t have an equalizing factor such as a weapon. It’s actually a pretty dangerous ideology.
@christufuhh4 жыл бұрын
Chandler Rose Definitely pretty scary how easy a man can overpower a woman just based on genetics. A woman's punch is probably equal to a 12 year old boys (no offense). But a man's punch is equal to probably 10 of those women punches
@chandlerrose45454 жыл бұрын
Chris Civatte No offense taken. A woman can learn how to throw a powerful punch. They have to learn to play to their strengths. But it most certainly still isn’t equal. I saw a video once of a female boxer fighting a male boxer. She was a very accomplished boxer, twice his size (muscle and height) and he wasn’t nearly as experienced or accomplished. He laid her out like it was nothing.
@chandlerrose45454 жыл бұрын
Ethan Seal I got a healthy dose of reality when my roommate with at least fifty pounds on me physically assaulted me and went after me with my throwing tomahawk. I ran for my life and what saved me was my apartment being across the road from my parents. I knew that men were stronger but I didn’t realize just how big the difference was until it was staring me in the face. Literally.

Poor Adriana, this scene is brutal. When the show originally aired, I was btw Meadow/AJ’s ages & Adriana was the EPITOME of cool in my age 14-22 eyes, but binging the show in my mid-30’s hit WAY different. Ade was so doomed, but had a good heart & was exploited (literally) to death by both the Feds & her inner circle. I listened to the Talking Sopranos pod religiously &….why tf was De Matteo never a guest? She was cast as Ade over bigger name actresses due largely to her chemistry w/Imperioli (as evidenced here) & always said he was a master of the craft who taught her to act on a higher level. Her character & acting don’t get enough credit. She didn’t just credit Imperioli for elevating her own acting game cuz he was more evolved, she had to trust him for scenes like this. Their final scene together is top shelf because she told him not to hold back w/the brutality and by then u really see her evolution as an actor.

Tony: What for? As if it automatically makes it her fault that he hit her.

She could have hit him first for all Tony knew, seems like a fair question to at least ask.

@louispellettiro89133 жыл бұрын
Never said it was her fault. But lets just say he caught her in bed with another man or stealing some things could explain why he hit her. Or what if she hit him first? Not making it okay. Just a valid point. Notice when she told him why he instantly jumped to her defence.

This shows how Drinking & Drugs do damage, hurting the one's who love you. That's the sad effects of addiction. Christy did not change in the series. He was high driving Tony into a terrible accident & Tony knew it.

I like at 1:34 Carmella says "your nephew" like Chris isn't her cousin. Then Tony asks why and Carmella and Ade both answer. It may be hard to hear but Carmella is spot on when she says what's the difference Tony.

I'll never understand how people could do heroin...I mean ok in the 1960s or '70s when there was little information and certain topics were simply not discussed out of medical circles...but jesus...today ot's perfectly clear to everybody that in 2-3 usages you start to develop a phisical dependence to the drug that grows and grows, within a few months one is totally hooked and starts to spiral out, a couple of years and you have to take the drug otherwise you have very severe withdrawal symptoms that last even over 10 days...from there on it's just downhill and you become a desperate rat-ass junkie living just to keep on doing the shit....this happens even to rich people that in a few years deploy/loose everything and end up either dead or half bums. Crazy.

Sandro Bindelli because "people" don't know, or aren't informed. Or the feeling it gives them is worth the risk. Especially if you are dealing with depression, anxiety, or anti social behavior. Its a drug, its addictive. Probably the most addictive. Some people try it thinking they can handle it. It won't get out of control for them. Don't act so damn surprised.
@realazduffman7 жыл бұрын
The thing is some people will get hooked on whatever they can. Heroin to Meth to even if they have to snort lint. The ones I feel bad for are the ones who get hooked because they were in extreme physical pain but had their meds cut off because in the USA we have too many junkies like Christopher.
@karlobolensky29267 жыл бұрын
I've been a heroin addict for quite a few years, and while you're right, it's not that simple. One uses heroin because it gives alot more than it takes; at least in the beginning. If you're on the bottom - homeless, unemployed, no friends, girlfriend just ditched you, et cetera - all those problem goes away within 15 seconds from shooting up the dope. All your problems, all anxiety and depression, insomnia, hunger, the freezing cold almost making your teeth shatter from shaking, the thought of how completely worthless you and your life are - everything just completely disappears. Looking down on junkies is really easy if you haven't been down there, and most people haven't. Even if everyone feels bad from time to time ... most people just don't know what it's like to have nothing.

sandro bindelli- indeed man, drugs are a terrible thing and in my book there's no such thing as a harmless receational drug. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who has to depend on this stuff because it is pure plain poison and degrades human beings. What I can't stand are the dealers who know the consequences of this stuff but just for the love of money, the fear/failure of grinding it out in regular jobs like most people do, they get into an 'industry' they know will destroy its participants. These people are the scum of the earth; to see fellow human beings with all kinds of skin diseases, starvation, hollow eyes, scars on arms and everywhere they can find a vein, the hallucinations... it's horrendous and heart-breaking. But some people are past caring- to them such people are 'customers'. Sick. Just plain sick

To me, Drea De Matteo hasn't got the praise she deserved for her performance in the Sopranos. When she cries, I just feel for her, I believe it, I want to hug her like she was my little sister, even if in real life, I don't have a younger sister, and Drea De Matteo is actually old enough to be my mother. The Sopranos cast is just fucking great, and what they have achieved is beautiful.

The whole abuse and the guy being a junkie aside, he did help Chris out. Based on the locations of the show, probably drove 20 miles out of his way. Really wasn't out of line asking for a few bucks especially since it sounds like Chris had already agreed to it.

Idk if the actor as chris friend had a prior experience as a junkie but he fuckin nailed everything ! The body language, the way of speaking, etc. I've seen that so many times where you have dope and help someone out thinking he's gonna get u in return but something like this happens lol so realistic.. And Eddy from Down the Park is a perfect introduction ! Ade not even knowing him maybe I'm over analyzing but this scene is just real life stuff
