Awesome.God bless you both.Costi, I like the way you always ask for practical examples. It makes the lessons relatable and real, instead of just lofty ideals.

I love these two brothers in Christ. They are both younger than me, still they are my elder brothers in faith. And their faith strengthens mine on a daily basis, which I need a lot in this widerness. I'm grateful for their ministry. SDG!

Costi, I always remember how in AG's Christ Alone documentary, you saying the first time you ever heard the word 'Sovereign' and how it planted a seed. Knowing our God is in complete control is one of the few things that give me such comfort in these dark, anxious days. Soli Deo Gloria!

This blessed me and spoke to me..thank you. The whole point about Gods sovereignty has helped me to really think and truly trust in him. You really put it into perspective. Thank you. I just went through 2 hurricanes here in Florida. I was getting very anxious. I am asking the Lord for forgiveness as I lost sight of our sovereign God. This was truly a blessing to me and I thank you. 🙏

Thank you very much for expounding the sovereignty of God. I also learnt something new on Rom. 8:28-29. I'll like to understand the balance between recognising the sovereignty of God and addressing/changing bad behaviour either from ourselves or others. For example when leaders behave badly, how do we remain at peace and accept that God allowed it and at the same time pray for change of heart for them to do the right thing.

What a great devotional. I often strive against circumstances though I know God's sovereignty is true. Sometimes I also strive against God's will! One suggestion I have is that the host consider that he flatters his guests too much. Thanking the guest but not fawning over the guest would be better going forward. It is distracting from the message and a little too much. But wonderful video full of comfort and truth - thanks for sharing!

@FortheGospel - The "sovereignty of God" has become a controversial topic. I do believe in the sovereignty of God and agree with most of the things you shared. The struggle I have with this topic is when Christians throw out this phrase to absolve themselves from any responsibility. For example, they may need a job yet don't do their part to secure a job. Or, they are believing for healing but won't seek out God's word on healing, pray for wisdom, or even see a doctor if that's what the lord is leading. Another example that is relevant to the current election is that they don't need to vote or it doesn't matter because God's in control. This phrase is so misunderstood and misused, and have misled so many to believe they are just to sit still and do nothing...zero responsibility. That is not scriptural at all. Aren't we to co-labor with the lord? Could you do a more in depth video on this subject? I've heard a few of your podcasts and really respect you and Costi Hinn's grounded, Gospel teachings and have shared with others. Thankful for pastors like you guys.

Interesting. Scripture does not declare that God ordained all things that come to pass so I’m not sure where that comes from. I also don’t believe that God is controlling everything in my life and I don’t have any anxiety either..

Isaiah 46:9-11 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth My counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
@jay1871
@jay1871 2 ай бұрын
@@scottlangford3308 there is a flaw in your reasoning. You are supposing that because God can declare the end from the beginning that He is therefore ordaining every event in between. The text you cite says nothing of the sort. You only think it does because of reformed presuppositions.
@jay1871
@jay1871 2 ай бұрын
@@scottlangford3308 I would add that this is the inductive reasoning flaw. “God declares the end therefore He declares everything in between”

"For I am the LORD." =God's self-declaration of sovereignty. He does this *a lot.* *Advisory:* Jonny's theology of God is faulty in two ways: 1. an understanding of who God is as Son and Father; and 2. the law, not just moral law but physical law (the ones we cannot violate). Genesis 1:4b "And God separated the light from the darkness." This demonstrations God's use of physical law that will template a deterministic universe. Point 1 expanded: God has revealed many names for Himself. Most significantly: "Father" and "Son." If we always speak of God as "God" without following scripture's specific uses of "Father" or "Son" then theology will be wrong. Consider, Matthew 24:36 or John 6:44. God has the power to withhold knowledge from Himself; the Father has a work of His own, through the Holy Spirit, that is separated from the Son. Regardless, this is all one work of one God. Point 2 expanded: God's physical law was spoken before man was made from dust, being made from dust-- man has been created from the physical laws of this universe (Creation). Morale law can only be revealed to a mind [of a man] since morality, like a mind, is non-physical. If a hurricane destroys your home can we know this is for God's glory? No, can't *know.* However, we can know this is oppression by physical-law. The Son does not unmake the law, he upholds it with his word. Does God have the power in Himself to be non-deterministic? I assume "yes." If we agree God is non-deterministic in of Himself then we can agree that God can create another in His likeness that is also non-deterministic. God knows all things that exist, and He knows what does not exist (a truly terrifying thought for man to wrestle with). Thus there is *no* outcome God does *not* know for a non-deterministic creation (man). How does God predestine, preordain, foreknow or prophecy? The Father. How can God have genuine relationship with His creation? The Son. See why these names are so important and why we can't blanket everything as "God"? Calvinists, you are the Son's Hidden Treasure, his Pearl of Great value. Your relationship with the Son truly, truly matters to God.
