My go-to verb is honestly a short, stereo, small room reverb. It reminds me of jamming with friends in the rehearsal space back in the day.

Nice to see Catalinbread getting back to coming out with something fairly fresh! I had kinda given up on them to be honest. Once they restructured etc, they just kept doing new versions of what they already had or copies of stuff that already existed. Good to see this! 👍

Bravo for actually using for styles and riffs it sounds good on! Go-to reverb sound for me is Plate with short reverb time, hence why I'm checking this out. The "smokey barroom" sound.

Wish you had demoed the gate turned up more. The classic gated recordings I listened to had a much shorter tail and much more abrupt gate. The modern pedal recreations I’ve heard so far just sound like reverb with the decay turned down.

In my experience, the Gate Knob doesn't really affect the tail and abruptness of the gate. It's more of a sensitivity knob, so you just find the threshold that works for your instruments output and go from there.

Not sure of the usefulness of this one as the effect would just get lost in the mix … I guess in a real speciality application ? This just sounds messy.
