What I love about Hobie's hype for Miles is that we knew that he's known about Miles for a long time and had an idea of what he was like. But here he didn't just meet Hobie's expectations, he utterly and completely blew them out of the water

@@damired Probably cause not only is he a talented Spider-Man, but he chose to save the mumbattan police chief just cause it was the right thing to do. Hobbie doesn’t ask Gwen how much miles knows about the spider society untill after they’re there, so he also might think he’s purposely rebelling and breaking canon. That’s also why when he’s cheering him on and patting him on the back, they get asked to go and hobbie says “I don’t follow orders and neither does he” but miles gets excited about getting accepted and hobbie realizes he doesn’t have a true perspective of what the society is like and gets all sad and turns grey in color.

Miles literally solved the Modus Operandi of the movie right here. 1:44 You can’t do both, you cant have your cake and eat it, and Spider-Man can’t save everyone. But Spider-Man doesn’t need to save everyone, if he has his friends. What’s the solution? Its not letting the Canon Event happen, its not Pavitr saving the Bus and the Chief of Police - it’s by having help. Friends. Community. Which is true, but you're missing Miguel's point. He allegedly did the exact same thing. He got Peter B. to help out in the dimension he was squatting in, but their interference destabilized the dimension to the point where it seemingly fell apart. His own daughter glitched apart in arms. Think of it as Jenga. Disrupting a canon event is like pulling a block out. Normally, that shouldn't be much a problem. If you were dealing with a fresh jenga tower, you should be able to afford to pull out a few blocks. The events of the first movie messed up every other jenga tower in the spiderverse. Missing blocks, blocks appearing in other universes, the whole shebang. Even worse, when canon events and outside interferences are made now, there's less wiggle room for you to pull out a block and expect everything to hold together. Its a crapshow that's been teetering on the edge, and Miguel has been exhausted trying to coordinate holding everything together. That's the crucible of Miguel's argument. It's not about having your cake and eating it too, or whether two spider-men can do what 1 can't. We all know that they can, and they know that since that's exactly what Miguel has had them doing to solve the rampant anomaly problem across the spider verse. Multiple spider-men teaming up to handle a problem that's bigger than all of them. No, It's about being strong enough to hold back from doing the right thing, since you could be dooming those universes to falling apart.

Its the same process we see in Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness - interfeering with another dimension is inherently dangerous and can cause full dimensional destruction. But the black void that was destroying everything in Mumbattan formed not when the Chief was saved, but when Spot interfeered too much Miquel is just coping when he and he alone is responsible for the death of that universe via his own selfishness, but dimensional travel isnt inherently bad

Just something about seeing how amazing each of them are as they work together to literally save a citysworth of people and hold back a massive disaster with webs and perfect timing

I absolutely love the sense of effortless synergy the Spider-peoples' teamwork has - because it just makes sense. With the level of awareness for their surroundings and danger that they have through their powers, it is completely believable that they could match each other beat for beat, even without training.

The crazy thing is if Pavitr ever finds out about Gwen trying to stop Miles from saving Inspector Singh because its a "cannon event" he would never forgive her. Just like how Miles stopped trusting her when he found out about her knowing about his dad. Edit: I'd personally never trust Gwen after all this. She keeps putting the Spider Society first before her friends. Like she'll literally let someone DIE for "cannon" when that goes against Spidermans whole shtick. So much about these "cannon events" make no sense to me. So many plot holes and just so much hypocrisy on Miguels part. I hate it so much. I hope Miles proves Miguel wrong in the next movie.

I think there’s a huge misunderstanding here, Gwen stays with the Spider Soceity because that’s all she has left. She believed her problem with her dad can’t be fixed, it’d be her worst nightmare to go back. That’s why she fears failing and being sent back. She also came to accept Canon events because the implication is that it helped her cope with the loss of Peter, that it wasn’t her fault for being his friend it’s just something that happens. Gwen will be someone to trust now because her father now accepts her. She thought that telling the truth and having friends is what damages people from the trauma, but now she realizes now that she reconciled with her father, the biggest issue was not opening up to him sooner. Which is why she says at the start of the movie reflecting on everything “I didn’t want to hurt him, but I did” about Miles, she realizes that hiding things is what is the problem has been with Peter, Miles, and her Dad. Miles realized this as well with his own parents. About Canon events. Miguel just says that canon events are certain events that define Spider peoples lives. If that doesn’t happen, everything. It’s based on Miguel replacing himself which begs so many questions. For one that Miguel was not a Spider-Man because that Miguel dies by that universes own means by his logic. So who is he replacing? And even if he did, first movie Peter came after Peter died and nothing happened. It’s also based on an algorithm because all the Spider-Man suffer through a similar event. So Miguel decides a soulless algorithm that says this is how things work despite his own doubts. Miguel is going to be wrong, he assumes that Spot what he considers an anomaly can do canon events when Spot isn’t a logical way of a natural event and says “Somebody catch Spot” which is dumb in two senses. The dumbest one is that Spot is the one doing the canon event, him being captured denies that by his logic. Second sense is that no rando can beat the Spot, we got storyboards of the Spot and it shows him the size of a SKYSCRAPER, and the future vision to Miles shows multiple dead Spider-Man under the Spot. Spot also kicked the asses of four Spider-Man before his transformation.

While I still believe Pavitr wouldn't trust Gwen if he found out I realize that it is more MIguels fault that Gwen has become so reliant on the Spider Society. If Miguel hadn't intervened on the anomaly Vulture fight then Gwen would probably have never been caught by her dad. Which kind of ties into my belief of Miguels hypocrisy. Miguel inadvertently exposed Gwen's secret identity and instead of making her go back and face it (and by extension her dad's 'inevitable' death) he allowed her to hide away in HQ. That resulted in her dad's retirement which by his rules broke cannon. However, he is actively trying to stop Miles from saving his dad to "keep the cannon". Which is a whole other plot hole in itself. If Miles is an anomaly then he already broke 'cannon' by being Spiderman. So if his being Spiderman is an anomaly then that mean he can't have any 'cannon events' because HE isn't cannon. Plus, Peter B said he only got back together with MJ and had Mayday BECAUSE OF Miles so that technically means Mayday is also an anomaly. I could go on but this is already getting long. Point is, I believe Miguel is a hypocrite and that 'cannon events' make no sense. I also think Gwen should've done better but I can understand how she would've latched onto the Spider Society for some semblance of stability. I just hope Miles is able to prove Miguel wrong and that Miguel gets his just deserves.

To add onto Miles saving his Dad, Miguel is afraid of Miles breaking the canon because he’s an anomaly, but Spot, an anomaly, is supposed to do the canon event. Which puts more holes in Miguels logic as well. Miguel is definitely going to be proved wrong. His resurgence to stick his trauma to the cause of all of this, and project his problems onto Miles will spit back at him when he figures that canon events aren’t as they seem. Miguel lost his way the moment he tried to achieve status quo, to return everything to how it was. His inability to check his doubts that maybe he can save those people of trauma because he doesn’t want to face the fact that Miguel’s own trauma is his own fault most likely.

The canon event wouldn't have happened if Spot wasn't there to begin with. I think Canon events are just paradoxes. The more paradoxes are put on top of each other, the more space gets disrupted. In Miguel's case, he took over a person who has died, which creates an impossibility that has to be corrected. And when the universe can't correct it, it destroys itself. But, that's also a paradox in and of itself since Mile's wasn't supposed to be spiderman, but when he did, the universe corrected itself and killed off the original spiderman since I guess there can only be one. OR, it was spot the whole time... this is messing with my head.

This might be a movie about inter-dimensional feuds with a crazed psycho and a heart broken, misguided anti-hero, but even between all of the dimensional chaos, there are still scenes where superheros save people! There is one moment I don't quite understand. At 0:23, you could see in the left frame that Miles is preparing to slingshot himself to save some people but in the right frame he pushes away some debris so Pav could save some people. These event's couldn't have happened at the same time but it seems like it is could someone explain this part to me.

Here's something to ponder: This was supposed to be Pavitr's canon event. However, it was caused by the spot, who only exists because of the anomaly that is Miles. I just noticed, they notify Gwen about the canon event but Hobie (who didn't try to hide his disapproval of letting canon events play out) as far as we see doesn't get notified. Lyla (the AI) and therefore possibly Miguel clearly don't trust Hobie. I don't think Hobie was notified off screen because he doesn't try to save the captain despite being obviously psyched that Miles did. If Hobie knew, he'd have intervened himself. But by not being notified, he just kept out of the way, thinking all survivors were already to safety. Miles and Pavitr saw the police captain and child in danger with their own eyes (and Pavitr wasn't updated because it was his timeline). Gwen wouldn't have had eyes on it if she didn't change location upon being updated.

All a methodical misdirection and deception with the whole Canon events debacles it would not be any stretch to say that she manipulates the setting in every universe by flagging "Canon events" left right and centre to suit her goals. What could be her goal? Same as Miguel's. To stop Miles, only Lyla is hoping to do it permanently as he IS the original anomaly. The only one that can disprove the Canon theory and cease ALL Canon events from being a set reality. Think about it. Canon events can be changed to NEVER having to happen. Bith Miles and Gwen prove that. So my guess is Lyla manipulated Miguel and subsequently the majority of Spider society to think it's all set in stone. Direct the blame on Miles as the source, when in actual fact Lyla could be the very reason spider-man villians get mixed up into different universes at specific places to create specific "canon" events. Weaving a Web of deception. Spot being the perfect cover and pawn as he's practically over taken the job Lyla started. Destroy Miles and that's probably stopping the best chance at stopping bith Spot AND Lyla.

0:32 whooo wee.. thats allot of death.... im gonna try to math it atleast very basic :D Assuming eatch of those buildings is atleast 50 floors, eatch floor having a 5 appartment capacity in.. lets on avrage say lives 2 people ( being very generus given this is a setting based on india and they tent ot have allot larger familys in appartments), but everyone might not be home etc) 5x50 thats 250 appartments 250 x 2 = 500 people.. and NOW lets count al the buildings this massive hunk of enginering nightmare fule of a block decided to roll downhill on. even only seeing that sceen for a moment im counting atleast 20+ buildings and thats not even considering the once that might fall in to the slope after it due to the foundation damages alone. we're looking atleast at arround 10,000s pluss and thats just a rough estimate in that one sceen alone.. beacuse that slope of buildings is going down down..
