The blunt tip also prevents sailors stabbing each others while being...well, sailors. ^^ A very special knife, in nothing else an interesting design. Very well done, herr Doktor.

I've noticed throughout your video that you must absolutely love tomatos and salami! Great video as usual, love the little history facts. I find a sheepsfoot blade extremely useful for everyday tasks such as opening boxes. The tip just bites into the material, unlike a knife with a wide belly such as an Opinel. Anyway, once again a great video. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent review. I love the fact that we are being exposed to so many wonderful knives from France. Living in the US, we don't hear much about these wonderful patterns. Based on your review I went ahead and purchased the Camarguais. All I can say is Vive La France! Keep your work coming! PS, a behind the scenes episode would be great as I am sure many of us would like to see how you go about reviewing these products.

Stilvolles Messer mit universeller Schneideklinge. Der Vergleich mit einem Teppich- oder Cuttermesser drängt sich ob der Klingenform tatsächlich auf, was indes nichts an den guten Schneideeigenschaften ändert. Im besten Sinne mal was Anderes. Prima!

Is the handle comfortable in extended use? Looks to me the butt plate extends above handle and would rub against palm.

I recently bought one in a lot... It's the same exact model. But it's black wood with white inlays on both sides and the back of the blade says Catana. Can't find specifics on it... It is a Dorry... But what does the Catana stand for...

Great review again, Stefan! I think this Neptunia Dorry knife is pretty cool, very unique. When I saw the handle, I had to laugh a little bit, because it kind of looks like a magazine for a semi-automatic pistol, like the magazine for a Glock or a Springfield XD(M). But overall, I think it is a beautiful and unique knife.

Lovely knife, but, a shade too long for me (to carry) in the uk. Don't see enough good looking sheeps foot knives for my liking, it's a perfectly good shape for a utility blade and a slipjoint knife.

Im sure its a great knife, and it looks beautiful in its traditional design... but to me it kind of just looks like a really fancy box-cutter LOL. Thanks again for the great reviews. Your editing skills are great and your exploration of a knifes history and 'old-world' sources/pictures are what puts your videos above many others. Its like youre not just reviewing the physical knife, but its meaning. And in case youve ever wondered, your English is perfect and this dumb American can understand you just fine ;)

At first glance it looks technical and somehow uninspired, an impression I got from a couple of knives reviewed by you. - But once I watched the vid and get "roped" into history an backgrounds, it appeares to be a "must have". - Great vids, but I'm afraid, watching them constantly will ruin me in the end. - Anyway: lokking foreward for more ...
