Thanks for putting this together, ‘no cash’ is a worry, no cash is full control digital currency. It’s a challenge for street performers that’s for sure… even running a market you need one of these now as no one thinks to get ‘cash out’ anymore.

Thank you for creating this series!! There is not a lot of info on this topic that is current, effective, or not entirely App-based & cumbersome for people to give/donate ...

I like the square but I often have problems getting it to connect to by iPad.

That's no good. I've found it quite reliable on Android. I am going to be trying out the iPad version soon though. Hope I don't run into issues with it like you have.

@@edgesamantha yeah, it seems to work fine with my android phone. Maybe it’s an apple thing 🤔

I had a look into that too and thought it could be a good option. The only con I ran into with it so far, other than the higher price point, is that the screen times out after 10 minutes apparently. Can you tell me, from someone who has one, how do you turn the screen back on when it times out? Is it easy and does it take long to reboot?

Just spoke to Quest Payment Systems and they advised they are developing a way for payment amounts to be keyed in by the customer.

That's good news! Funny, I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and they never mentioned anything like that! Sent me all the info on the Donation Point mobile and we discussed the one they are still developing for churches that has preset buttons and is on a plate, but the costs were just under a grand for charity use and would be even higher for commercial pricing! She knew I was looking for something with multiple donation amounts, so it's quite odd she didn't advise me about something in the making with a keypad! Did they give you a name for that device at all? Or is it just in the idea sort of development stage, I wonder?
