The St George protests reveal Britain's two-tier policing

The police response to the St George's day celebrations/protests was a stark eye-opener to our two-tier policing. After months of treating anti-Israel protesters with kid gloves while they hurled missiles and fireworks and desecrated war memorials, Sadiq Khan's police force saw some people they could safely batter without being called racist.
Police kettled, cavalry charged and arrested English men. An old lady was shoved to the ground, a pub was raided and a man holding his child was attacked. We hadn't seen scenes like this since lockdown.
I understand the police have to keep the peace which sometimes means they have to remove catalysts instead of enforce the law, and many police will privately be unhappy about their orders. The blame lies with the politicians who guide them.
And it sends a dangerous message that some people are more equal than others and if you have a big enough mob, the police won't touch you.

A pal of mine was walking down a major London shopping street a couple of months ago, and saw the police move on as a 'nuisance' a young woman doing some gospel singing, accompanying herself on a keyboard. My mate is not a sentimental geezer but he said her voice was amazing. Couple of hundred yards further on is a fellow with a mic shouting something in Arabic accompanied by music blaring out of a speaker, so my mate hurries back to the same old bill to tell them to treat this geezer in the same way. They didn't want to know, he got very short shrift, and said it was clear that if he pressed them any further they'd nick _him_, so he had to leave it. But he was fuming. so it's clear that there's more going on here than is being surfaced by the protests

I hope he lodged a complaint if not he needs to, I went to a shopping centre last week that had a big sign at the door saying these face coverings are not allowed, showing pictures of full face crash helmet, balaclava and burka, as I walked in a women in a burka was heading out after doing her shopping and the security guard did not challenge her at all it takes the piss, the allowed coverings were covid mask, bycycle helmet and hijab so she had no excuse. The British are already being treated as 2nd class citizens in our own Country because we cannot apply for jobs in Government, Local Authorities, The Police, the Military and certain Banking Sectors as they are underrepresented on a global stage. I applied for 100's of jobs daily, and ALL those jobs went to foreigners - Polish mostly, back then. All I could get was temp jobs and long-term but not permanent, contract jobs. I'd worked in offices since 1976 when I was 16, but couldn't even get voluntary work in that field. I had to re-train and do factory work or cleaning. Even then, it was nigh on impossible to get a cleaning job as they were given to foreigners. They're deliberately replacing us. I'm penniless, but if I won the lottery, I'd emigrate for sure. If only we could get Reform in, but it'll be fixed so that Labour gets in. It'll be even worse with them. I have a drawer full of pills waiting for me

Most countries /regions freely celebrate their National Day and this is a good thing, to celebrate culture and history and it's a time for the diaspora to also celebrate their roots. England has so many things to be proud of, literature, architecture, drama, engineering, music, comedy, it is absurd to deny this. I know a traffic officer, that cheated their way into the police, is a functioning alcoholic, had a huge major medical operation on the tax payer, not because of an illness or for any medical reason, just because they don't like the way their body functions naturally due to being gay. The surgery should have been refused as it is BIIDS - body identity integrity syndrome, the officer given counselling and booted off the job.
