🌐Fun-fact London has enough international accredited stadiums / venues, which could host every team/match in the European Football Championship, World Rugby Cup and a multi sports tournament up to the Commonwealth/World Student Games level. London is one of two reserve city's for hosting major sporting events (ie. The Olympics) in the event of rescheduling an individual event or multiple events 🤔 Amazing city and bangingly brilliant people 🎖🎖🎖

Couple of extra facts... the Oval cricket ground used to hold the FA Cup Final, as did the Crystal Palace athletics stadium. The Hive stadium was originally meant to be for Wealdstone, but they had to pull out as their investors went bust - Barnet then moved in, initially as a training base, then converted it for matches after leaving Underhill

Stamford Bridge also held the FA Cup finals of 1920, 1921 and 1922. and a close by stadium called Lille Bridge, now long gone hosted the second only FA Cup final in 1873.

Old Deer Park can hold 5,000. Lee Valley Hockey Stadium holds 3,000 spectators but they can hold up to 15,000 when they erect temporary stands.

It’s the world capital of sport. It’s home to football, BY FAR the worlds biggest sport. It has the home of cricket, which as anyone who lives on the Asian subcontinent will say, captivates that country of a billion people. We have the home of rugby. The home of tennis. The worlds most watched sports league. The Olympus 3 times. Then there the stadiums. No city can match the breadth of English sport, not even close. Although I’m sure some yank will mention Los Angeles, but since our sports predate you ever stealing California, you can go back to you huge soda and pipe down.

The FA was established in London in 1863.
