Your cottage and family life is a joy to me. An only child, now 76. Mom & dad passed on. Mom lived at Lake Elsinore, there in California. She was much like you. So when I’m lonely I just visit your channel. It brightens my day. Mom owned a women’s boutique, when I was growing up. Then a representative for Elizabeth Arden in my adult years. She was eccentric and fun. Keep being you. I love your style shows, make up, cooking, and especially your holiday decorating & family gatherings. Something I just program your channel while I’m dong my daily task, to keep me motivated. I watch them more than once. You’re amazing, you mean a lot to all of us. Brightest Blessing. Oh by the way I realized how extremely dehydrated I was, and added more electrolytes and liquids. I’m feeling so much better now. A pharmacist once told me drinking water is like washing dishes, you can pour dish soap (your foods & medicines) which will only do its job if you rinse it off with water. You wouldn't just keep putting soap on your dishes and then continue to eat out of them. For the soap to do its job, you have to rinse it away 😉 That has held with me for many years. You don't have to just drink water. Any liquid counts, water, tea, kombucha, coffee, juice, milk, and there is liquid in the food you eat, that counts also. There is no way I could drink that container of just water each day. I have an insulated mug that holds about 16 ounces and it keeps things cold or hot. I try to keep count of how many times I fill it, and/or my coffee mug each day. I love watching you. You sure set the goal high for the rest of us. I'll be 84 this week.

Maybe fill up the large container with the amount of water you want to drink in a day then pour into your smaller cup/glass. You will be able to track how much you are drinking without carrying around a large jug.

Good morning Nanny and Moose! I'm happy to hear you're feeling better. Thank you so much for your latest video. I always glean valuable tips/advice! I learned advice about "healthy water" from my mother over 40 years ago. She learned it from her vet. Put your tap water in water bottles, milk containers, etc.; and leave them without the cap on for 24 hours. Then, you may cap them and put them in the refridgerator. This allows all the chemicals in the water to evaporate. It also makes the water taste good! The vet told my mother to do this for the water for the goldfish she kept for her grandchildren; plus the human benefits. (Obviously, the water was room temperature for the goldfish!) I use it for drinking, cooking, tea making, etc. I also use it to give to my pets. Just an FYI. Thank you again and have a great holiday weekend! God bless you both and your family.

My sister who was disabled from MS, used to occasionally wind up in the ER with bladder infections, due to dehydration. Who knew it could cause this? Anyway I learned all about the importance of drinking plenty of fluids, especially in the hot weather months. Dehydration, it's a thing. I love the colorful palazzo pants on you Nanny! All ready for a summer fiesta, or a normal day in the garden. Really fun. The neutral safari outfit is quite nice also. The Carmel rust pants and blouse are lovely as well and will look great for special events. I haven't had the ironing board out for a long time. Not exactly sure where that is?🤔 That rose from your garden is beautiful! Just thought I'd mention. Anyway, I hope you, Moose, and family, have a great memorial day weekend. The weather is nice here today. I'm thinking about going to the local Memorial Day parade on Monday morning. It's about five blocks from my house. A small town parade, but nice. My niece fixed the flowers at the cemetery. (I used to do) My dad was in three branches of the military in WWII, (What's up with that?) so he gets a flag by his grave. I think there's a memorial day concert on Sunday evening (PBS) if interested. Sometimes too sad for me to watch. Depends on my mood, but a nice thing. Anyway, take care and thank you for the video. You now have me shopping for palazzo pants!!! I definite think I’ll order several pairs just to wear round the house for lounging. I have been a container gardener for a very long time. I absolutely think it is the smartest and easiest way to garden. I don’t have many containers right now, but I am going to purchase a few raised bed kits and a few grow bags soon. The only things left in the ground at our house are a few rose bushes and one hydrangea bush. Sooner or later I plan to transplant these bushes to a raised bed. We have a fenced backyard around our swimming pool area which is a very large area. My husband wants to place raised beds all around the inside of the fence which I think will be wonderful. Once we get this accomplished, I want to plant a mixture of annuals and perennials. I want to get various day lilies, tulips and irises and also so some daffodils and some gladiolas. I have a bed in the front of the house with both day lilies and gladiolus that I plan to transplant as well as purchase more. I also want several herb beds and also several beds for annuals like zinnias, marigolds and petunias. It would also be nice to have a couple of beds for summer vegetables and maybe some strawberries and blueberries. Once my husband retires in a couple of years we hope to be well on our way with this project, which has been my dream for a very long time. He says we can get started in the near future to hopefully have the beds up and growing by the time he retires. The raised bed kits are not too expensive and they are very easy to assemble. The grow bags are also very easy to manage and they come in a variety of sizes. The most expensive part will be having some potting soil hauled in to fill the beds-my husband says that will be the least expensive way to get the large amount of dirt that will be required to fill the number of beds and containers we want to install. He wants to get a small trailer to pull behind our lawn tractor not only for hauling dirt, but also for the removal of leaves in the fall and for downed tree limbs from all the trees in our big yard that usually come down after a thunderstorm when the wind blows really hard. I can hardly wait to see how much better you feel when you start drinking your electrolytes in your water. Lack of hydration is one of the most serious problems with any age, but especially as we get older. The major complication with staying hydrated is the need to go to the potty more often, but the truth is, we need the exercise required to do that just as much as we need the hydration!!! It is very true that the electrolyte powder is expensive, but it is well worth the investment for feeling strong and healthy!!! Sending love and big hugs to you guys!!!
