shed a tear watching this. We don't have many people like Pops Staples anymore because they've passed on. I'm 21 and my father passed away at 74. He taught me all about old school soul, Stax, and Chess records. In a way Pops reminds me of my dad.

Being a part of the Staples family. My Grandfather was Pops Stsples cousin. Their fathers were brothers. I'll say are brothers r rs. The spirit lives on. Every one of us are involved in music. It's in the blood. I always loved that bass line to I'll take you there and once I started playing bass I included it in my song list with my band. Ironically I only met them once when they came to St.Louis in the 70s.
