No Portal 3. Team Fortress and Team Fortress 2. No Team Fortress 3. Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. No Left 4 Dead 3. And most the notorious; Half-Life and Half-Life 2. No Half-Life 3, instead they made Half-Life 2: Episode 1, and Half-Life 2: Episode 2, which are technically Half-Life 3 since they continue the story after Half-Life 2, but VALVe for whatever reason decided not to call the games Half-Life 3. Not to mention they've been leading us on about the development of a proper Half-Life 3 for almost a decade now without any proof of it's development, nor confirmation on it's cancellation. LucasFilm/Diseny are being clueless and giving the green light to Epic Games to add Mando and not Dice/EA to add Mando to BF2, then there's Epic Games who thought they could basically stick the middle figure to all BF2 fans and Dice while saying saying "we got Mando before you did HA HA," And lastly there's EA who are simply dumb and ignoring the fans and only seeing the money. The only reasonable ones are Dice who genuinely wanted to add Ahsoka and Mando to the game and the fans.

Why did they not include that feature in the newer Battlefront games? It was such a cool feature in the og Battlefront 2. The Capital ships in the space battles in the newer games are just set dressings. But in the older ones, you can actually destroy a Capital ship from the inside or outside, depending on your playstyle. I guess people will exploit that feature to get some easy kills.

Might be an unpopular opinion but if there were to be a Battlefront 3 I’d want to see a multiplayer campaign, sort of like the destiny franchise. Where you had a single player story that led into multiplayer battles. Also Ashoka Tano.

They should do it like how DICE did Campaign-Operations in Battlefield 1, or how it was in the original Battle Front 2 (like you're actually in a galactic war and have to tactically choose what planet to attack, send reinforcements for etc), and I'd also love to see some sort of Commander role for both teams (like BF4), send in air drops of vehicles/AI reinforcements (like Clone Commandos or Jedi or orbital strikes) etc.

it’s so hard being a star wars fan. i feel like no other franchise gets cheated out of content like us, it’s a shame how often star wars community is let down. there has been so many games and other content canceled in star wars it amazes me, it almost seems like developers for star wars don’t want to give the fans what they OBVIOUSLY want. So epic and so hyped that it could use the new game engine to influence space to ground combat, it had such a knowledge of the fans to keep the franchise from dying. The dark side of battlefront 3 is a overbudget some consider to be unnatural. It became so hyped that the only thing Lucas arts was afraid of was overbudget and losing its power. which eventually of couse it did. It taught lucasarts everything it knew.then Lucasarts killed it in its development. its ironic it could save the battlefront franchise from death but not irself

in all honesty, ea will push the next battlefield installment. that will be there main focus for however long that may be, eventually ( if it hasn’t happened already ) a team will be branched off to start shifting focus and getting the groundwork ready for the next battlefront installment. we’ll probably see it within the next 5 years

It would be cool if the campaign for 3 revolved around the evolution of a Clone Battalion aside from the 501st serve an incompetent Jedi General. Start off as a shiny and work your way up in the ranks while dealing with the loss of your brothers through out the war. Then transition into the empire and continue the story under Vader's fist. I know it's essentially what BF2 PS2 did, but after seeing how Clone Wars handled Clones as being individual humans, I think it'd be cool to play as a clone who sees his brothers die around him due to his general's rash decisions and incompetence then have a grudge against the Jedi. That way when order 66 takes place the character won't feel remorse.

Battlefront 3 has to have a Galactic Conquest map (EMPIRE AT WAR) Each star system under Sith Empire, Separatists or Imperial Rule & choose your faction at the begging of the Season updates (defect or stay loyal) after capture. Class selection and customization. One planned 50-70 team squads takes down defenses then conquer strategic points. What ever faction you aligned to holds that star system (Space to ground battle loaded map). Ow and the Hutt's can have a major play and role in this, with the Bounty Hunters Guild.

I hope if they decide to do a Battlefront 3, they do what the original Battlefront 3's biggest attraction was going to be, the main story. The biggest problem I see with that, besides the uncertainty around there being a third, is that the original story probably wouldn't work in the Disney canon, and Disney probably doesn't want anything mainstream that isn't considered canon. It might work, but that'd mean they'd have to put actual work into so... yeah

There should be a free roam Star Wars- you can customize your ship, crew and character. You can join fractions like Bounty Hunters guild or Republic etc. There are events you can fight in now and again. Become a Hutt, a Ewok or whatever. The game would be huge and the one I’d play until they pull the server plug.

Either clone wars or Mandalorian Wars. If they centre it around the Mandalorian wars they could have Old Republic vs Mandalorians troops, with heroes such as The exile, Revan, Malak, HK-47, Bastila, Canderous ect.. Depending on whether or not they want us to have a campaign it could either be while playing as a Mandalorian on the frontline or playing as Bastila leading up to when she captures Revan. I mostly just want to be a Mandalorian and Ram a basilisk war droid into a planet from space though.

2005 battlefront 2 had one, basically order 66 from every planet, starting with mygeeto, Felicia, kashykk, utapau, and then the Jedi temple, and then the clone troopers turned into stormtroopers, and then you follow the original trilogy films, and you needed to destroy the clones on kamino and you had to fight the droids on mustafar, they should remake that but better

Pandemic studios made battlefront 1 and 2 never a 3. Now we're in the middle of a pandemic and still can't get a Battlefront 3 (begins playing The Empire Strikes Back Yoda theme).

Battlefront 2 wasn’t the only game killed for the next battlefield. Remember, DICE and EA broke their promises on Battlefield V. They said we would travel through the whole war, yet they pulled the plug practically half way through. Never forget what they did my friends, never forget.

That seamless dream will never happen...for a game that great, with great features...both old and new …with new graphics...you would need a studio and publisher with the creativity....passion... and dedication......things EA know very little about..

I think it depends on if EA gets to keep the license....in the mean time we can still dream about a Battlefront 3 with Din Djarin, Bo Katan and Ashoka as playable characters

It's sad, yeah; but I can't really complain. Every now and then, I still boot my PSP to play both Elite and Renegade Squadron. I love those games

For Battlefront 3, I would update the Hero vs villain game mode by giving it a MOBA type of map layout and objective. each team as an asset or building to destroy, safely protected behind an energy field. there are 3 shield generators on the map that you need to destroy, once it's done, the energy field disappear and you can attack the enemy base. it follows the same logic of a MOBA game, you have turrets around the shield generator that shoots at you when you get close, there are random NPC soldiers running around shooting at you while you fight other heroes. heroes ability could be more varied and unique to this game mode with star card upgrades, something like BB-8/R2-D2 could repair or buff the turrets, Leia could buff the NPCs soldier with her charisma making them tougher or on the opposite side Vader make the enemy NPCs weaker with fear, Obi-Wan could mind trick soldier to fight for him, ect... there could be command post to capture that gives you access to stronger unit to help you push the line, like tanks or bounty hunters. It wouldn't need much extra work, they could use all the assets from the main game

as someone who's worked with game engines , you can create space to ground with nowadays hardware , heck even a gtx 750 but my theory is that ea made the deadline way too early for battlefront 2

I've been thinking. What if the next SWBF was like, "Battlefront: Clonewars" and took place entirely in that era (i.e Battlefield WW2) It'd make some people mad, but it'd mean they could bring all their focus entirely to one era... ...People like the GCW era but you couldn't just exclude Sequel Era, which imo just feels creatively bankrupt

This case is the most egregious one. Because the thing is-they’re seemingly foregoing Battlefront entirely for Battlefield. But even from a solely monetary perspective, Battlefront is going to make more money than Battlefield. It does more for the studio’s rep than Battlefield. It’s the only way to actually compete with Call of Duty. And from a consumer perspective there’s a lot more hype as well. So it really doesn’t make sense on any level for a BF3 to not happen.

Did you ever heard the tragedy of Battlefront III? Thought not.. Its not a story the EA would tell you. Battlefront III was a game so powerful in the development of game mechanics that it could influence the minds of its players to never stop playing. It could even release all of its DLC...for free.

I wish that they ported over BF2 to next and continued support. BF2 has way too much content to start over.
