Wow Stacy! You made me cry today. I have been trying to reverse my diabetes. I have lost 80 lbs. With no positive results on my glucose numbers. To be at an ideal weight I have 20 lbs. to go. I thought my glucose numbers would be better by now. I was feeling that I'm failing. I love that you said that I'm not failing because I keep trying. I have been researching, making mistakes and course correcting since I was diagnosed type 2. I am now using the McDougall plan and hoping for great results. Thank you for all the encouragement from all 3 of you. I'm not feeling like a failure anymore because of your Q&A!

I've followed the McDougall way of eating for 14 years now. Lost and kept off over 100 pounds, and a ton of other benefits. At 72 now, I'm in great shape. It's really helpful to see these meetups as they help me stay the course and head off any course variations in my journey. Especially critical as there are no more Sunday night sessions I learned so much from! Thanks so much!

I loved this chat! I have been so confused about the protein thing since I follow Plant based dads and chew on vegan and their message speaks to me as an older woman! I love that we can do starch solution while being cognizant of protein while trying to build muscle without getting obsessed about it! Stacy definitely needs a you tube channel, she is a natural!

I am so glad I made the time to watch this from beginning to end - even if it meant watching it over the course of a couple of days! Kathy, Cheryl and Stacy, thank you as always for your honesty and generosity. There was so much valuable information to take away from this chat.

Love the “vegan police” discussion. That’s why I love Colleen Patrick-Goudreau’s quote regarding veganism: “Don’t do nothing because you can’t do everything; do something, anything.” Love CPG so much!!!

Been following Plant Based Dads for years. I recall videos where he says yes, he’s exercising more and building muscle which in turn helps him burn more calories and hence lose weight, but that per his trainer he would need to eat a lot more protein in order to do the muscle-building to begin with, which is how the whole protein consumption increase started.

Susan… this was great. I’ve been wanting to go vegan for some time but was concerned about protein. This may be what convinces me!! You guys are very smart and kind

According to Dr Doug Lisle (on his latest interview on Transforming Shadows) it’s not possible to gain 10-15 lbs of FAT on a cruise. It’s water weight from all the extra salt. And bread is super salty. Watch it to understand what a big accomplishment it is to metabolize one lb of fat-and how long it actually takes. He said Chef AJ took 27 months to lose 50+ lbs.

I know this is a recording. Weight loss is one thing but lifestyle change is another. I think once people hit a groove, they will be fine. Weight loss isn’t everything.
