The state of LEGO Sonic: a retrospective

What do you think about Lego sonic, and what more do you want to see from me next? Because i have some ideas for whats next

I think the themes great, but it would be much better if they started making sets based more on specific sets. Like imagine a Frontiers set with the starfall island ruins, or an unleashed set with the werehog and spagonia!!

I've been buying them all since the beginning and the majority disappoints imo. Shadow's Escape is REALLY cool, especially for its price. Similarly, the new Master Emerald Shrine is REALLY fun, even tho I'd have liked more game-accurate pillars around it I think it's amazing and I love how the OG Master Emerald build can be plugged into the shrine. The Shadow bust doesn't look that great but I loooove the concept and the mere fact that it exists, especially with how rare new busts that aren't Marvel, DC or Star Wars actually are, it almost feels like an honor that Sonic got one. The Super Sonic VS Egg Drill set is also amazing, as well as the original Classic Green Hill. I also really like the Death Egg Robot set and all 3 of their BrickHeadz and the keychain. The rest I straight up dislike for various reasons. I generally dislike random concepts not baded on anything so the Knuckles mech set, the beach set and Amy's Animal Sanctuary are an automatic turbo L for me (the sanctuary is cute I guess but the mech set is so baaaad), similar feelings for the monkey dude Badnik from SA and the LEGO Dimensions Sonic set from way back when but that was such a small thing tied to a genuine phenomenal videogame expansion so I didn't mind. The Green Hill loop challenge is the definition of mid. And then there are the ones I kinda like but kinda don't cause they're missef potential. Tails has had at the very least 5 workshops that I can think of from the main timeline, why they didn't base the set on ANY and just did some random structure is anybody's guess and it didn't click with me. When I found out they were making a boat called Tails' Adventure I got super excited, I was sure it would either be the Sea Fox from the game of the same name or the boat from Sonic the Fighters. Unfortunately it was neither so it ended up disappointing. From what I've seen, I doubt I'll like the January 2025 wave either, except from the amazing looking Biolizard. What I want is more game locations. Give me the ARK (huge or small, no matter), give me Perfect Chaos coming out of the ground, give me the Egg Carrier perhaps, the gorgeous Altar of Light from 06, give me a Spagonia build or an Eggmanland build, Sonic has sooooooo many iconic and cool things to base sets on, they're doing almost nothing with it.

When I was 12 I got the Sonic level pack for Lego Dimensions, back then it felt like the coolest shit ever and was probably the best DLC from that game. His world is the most fun, his level is the longest and most varied, and he's so fun to play, absolutely breaking the game with his mental physics.

37:47 I liked Tails' Adventure boat. Though hear me out: Imagine OMEGA from TSR (2019) in that car of his from there- it would make a great lego set. Maybe make it heroes set. Or that thing heroes teams all drive in seaside hill act 1 with wheels - heroes themes.

but yeah lego idea set needs to be brought back, I cannot afford them as is, but maybe give me a reason to buy them by doing stages we dont see often brought back in games or feel free to bring chemical plant, sky sanctuary. But on the side also more iconic stages like marble zone, labyrinth (?), hill top zone, starlight zone (sonic 1), etc.
