The Steam Deck is the BEST way to play Wii games right now (with some setup)

I prefer just using the touch pad with mouse region for cursor. You can also map the TouchPad click to A for jump and I use the right trigger to B. With that I feel like it's the most accurate emulation. I have 3 profiles. Flat, upright, and no motion. A big tip, map all controls to keyboard buttons besides the axises, that way you can setup special inputs in steam input. I don't use auto hide, I instead have it mapped to a key then when I touch the TouchPad it unhides the cursor and rehides when I let go, it's a little thing but it helps because can modify it for games like paper Mario where I can tap to use flip and hold touch to make the cursor appear. Also helps since I don't have to make different dolphin profiles for each game, just use the steam input profiles.

How can I load the config file into dolphin controllers?

If you're using the appimage copy them to: /home/deck/.config/dolphin-emu/Profiles/Wiimote/ For flatpak (untested, may or may not work) copythem to: /home/deck/.var/app/org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/config/dolphin-emu/Profiles/Wiimote/ Then you should be able to select them and further setup configs for games to auto load. If you don't see .config or .var, enable hidden folders and files. If you don't have a Profiles/Wii folder, either save a profile in dolphin or make them. Be sure they has a capital P and W if you do.

@@russdelrey Just need to hit escape to exit. For me it's mapped to the Steam button + Left Dpad. Try to remember the important keys like that when fiddling in desktop mode
