I agree with you. My grandparents left Italy before the war as well. If Italia doesn't get back to it's roots and keeps letting in refugees from turkey and romania there will not be an Italia in 30-50 years.

and btw,i have a history exam soon so... :) im not making this up.If you say that Italians didnt condemn Jews to segregation,you sadden me.Why dont you verify,just in case? It cant take you long to do so.Maybe the italian army didnt do so in general,but they sure didnt stop exporting Jews to concentration camps.Also my grandmother saw italians exterminating villages here in our country,so think about it.But it is true they were less brutal then the Nazis.But this doesnt make them good!

You should be reading history books instead of depending your knowledge on the videos you see. But you're Slovenian, so in any rate you have a biased view of Italians anyway. You hate Italians because all you want is to have north-eastern Italy incorporated into Slovenia. I don't dismiss arguments - history does. The fact of it is only 8,000 Jews died in Italy during the holocaust - most of the Jews were saved - and yes, by Mussolini. Worry instead of how Slovenia treats their minorities.

you knew anything about Italian politics, you would know that Alleanza Nazionale, the party mentioned in this video, is not fascist by any means. Fini the party's leader issued a public repudiation of Mussolini (which led to a fallout), has asked for voting rights to immigrants, and "leniency" with illegals - not really a fascist platform. YOu have no idea what you are talking about, as always, now go read a book and read some history. PS - Mussolini's granddaughter is in the Italian parliament.

yes i know about Fini and the granddaughter of Mussolini.But she also renounced Fascism and yet then she said she's proud of it.And that its better to be Fascist than Communist - well i think both are wrong ideologies. As a leftist I agree with what Slavoj Zizek said that the left needs to be reconstructed. For the past few decades the left has not had a clear direction. That is why all these corporate plutocrats,free marketeers,extreme evangelical christian and the fascist hate groups have taken over.This is not only in Italy it is becoming a western epidemic and if and it is only going to get uglier if liberals do not start to deliver plan and reasonable policies

The left is dominated by Marxist and Marxist based ideology. It needs to look to other socialist sources besides Marxism as Socialism has been around before Marx and Engels came onto the Marxist. Before Marx there where other Socialist school of thought. I’m not left wing but I reckon Marxist dogma is what is destroying the left. Also Fascism is a non Marxist form of Socialism.
