Since Kangaskhan was a pretty OP Kanto Pokémon and kind of cute I don't understand why Ash never had one. I was a big Pokémon fan when I was younger but I never understood why they never really give more time to certain great Kanto Pokémons instead of bringing in new ones. Plus they gave a lot of time to Jigglypuff, Weezing, Meowth and Arbok while they never were the most exciting ones. I mean some elite Pokémon like Alakazam, Machamp, Nidoqueen or Gyarados almost had no screen time. Even Muk, Snorlax and Tauros. Electrode got almost no screen time while it was the fastest Gen 1. I missed even Blastoise and Venusaur. There were a lot of potential in the original series.

I want pikachu to evolve at some point. I get that the whole point of him not evolving is that he wouldn’t be the same pikachu and pikachu wants to prove that he doesn’t need to evolve to be strong. I think that the moment pikachu decides he wants to evolve could signify when ash finally becomes a competent Pokémon trainer. Given how OP ash’s pikachu is, if he were to evolve he’d be practically unbeatable.

The Spearow were not trying to unalive Pikachu for no reason. If you ever study birds of prey and wild dogs, you would know the Spearow were eating Pikachu alive. With Misty commenting Pidgeotto tried to eat Caterpie 2 episodes later, it makes sense that a flock of birds of prey were eating Pikachu (a mouse) alive since many birds of prey eat mice.

Why didn't the Japanese producers and writers try harder to bring all of Ash's old friends into the final episode? I always say because the final episode isn't complete without all of Ash's friends. The Japanese producers and writers don't want to continue with Ash getting together with all his friends to fight Team Rocket, they don't want to plan Ash and Giovanni's final battle, they just keep ignoring all the plans.
