This is excellent content. Players including myself get so immersed in mix/maxing and trying to rush through quests for the rewards we don't always take the time to appreciate the intricate and creative story-telling within RS. One of my favorite parts of any quest was at the end of Taste of Hope when the Vampire is on a big psycho monologue and says he can taste his victim's emotions and his favorite flavor is "A taste of hope" and then you fight. Incredible!

Absolutely agree!! The dialogue in RS quests is amazing, especially with how self-aware it is at times. I'm sure they're cooking up some fantastic quests for us!

I love some of the player's comments throughout some of the quests. They're usually good for a laugh.

Dude the fremennik exiles. One part you have to put a pet rock in a geyser and your character gets sad and has to talk to peer the seer to erase your memories with the rock, it's hilari

Imo, the vampyre storyline is the second best in the entire game. Hallowvale, the sister sanctuary and all the history behind it. Only really behind the Mahjarrats and Luciens greed for power.
@Gravitybind5 ай бұрын
Completely agree. I really hope they expand more on the questline, as it'd be interesting to see how different it'd be compared to RS3 - though that might be something they look at once the Mahjarrat quest series is concluded

Thanks for the video, i havent played in years and most of questlines i either completely forgot or vaguely remember, so reminders of what happened prior the "X" quest (in this case to me it was prior to the "Sins of the father" ) It was nice to remember characters and to know what they were talking about lmao

Another great video man! Good job. I just finished this quest line and I hated the quest itself but loved the lore.

Some help for your audio problems (lack of consistent volume between uploads). Right click your video and turn on stats for nerds. You'll see in the Volume/Normalized line that your videos volume has been reduced by -6.6dB. This means KZbin caught a peak in your audio that made it reduce the volume for the entire video by that amount. Look up a guide for your specific editing program on how to use KZbin's loudness standard. Before I did this I could upload the same video twice and end up with two different volumes. I targeted -1.0dB or less when tweaking my settings. This is just the first step to getting more consistent audio. There's a whole rabbit hole to go down with audio mastering, but the first steps are the easiest and they make the largest differences. I still struggle with music volume to this day. Obviously its my own subjective opinion on it, but your mic quality in recent uploads, for example The Story of Varlamore, sounds significantly worse compared to an older video like "Two weeks into Dragonflight".
@Gravitybind Жыл бұрын
Thank you - I appreciate the advice. I am using a slightly worse mic at the moment compared to my older videos due to various reasons, and still getting to grips with music (this was mainly with previous OSRS uploads) and overlaying my audio over it. I'll look into the settings and try to adjust things for my next video, and aim for a similar -1.0dB as you suggested. I didn't know the 'stats for nerds' was something honestly, so it'll definitely help in adjusting my audio. I do think this video in particular sounds better than the previous few, but I really appreciate your advice as it will help me refine the editing process and ensure the audio is better quality, so once again, I really do thank you for the time you took to comment.

@@Gravitybind This video is definitely on the right path compared to the previous one. You can't fix something if you don't know about it so I knew I had tell you. I also use OSRS music and its honestly hard to work with. I feel bad slapping normalization on all of it, but it is what it takes to make it work as background music in a video.

Would you say Lowerniel drakan can defeat lady Verzik?
@Gravitybind Жыл бұрын
Honestly, it's hard to answer as we've never really seen Lowerniel Drakan in combat, aside from his first appearance and him decimating both vyres and the Myreque with a flick of his wrist. He did overpower the Vampyre houses, and virtually wiped out two of the houses back on Vampyrium so it's clear he has a lot of power - so I'd say probably? But even then, as Lady Verzik has had the theatre built and she's been experimenting with Nyalocas, her power is just growing and isn't really checked. (Plus she's OSRS' strongest monster at the moment) but I'd still put my money on Drakan.
