I was present years ago when Squeaky Fromme was captured after her escape from Alderson prison and brought to the federal courthouse for arraignment. She wanted to know if she had to pledge allegiance to the flag and other things like that. And she was so detached. She kept talking about saving redwood trees and was even reading a pamphlet as she was taken away. It was an odd day in court.

He did not tell them to do it. They did in there minds what they wanted to do. He asked them individually “would you kill for me and face consequences?” They said yeah. He didn’t know Tex chose that house. He was in San Diego that night for getting a traffic ticket but Tex Watson chose her house. He did say he knew Sharon and seen her a couple of times at Denise’s and Elvis house. His story stayed the same after many years even the interviews but how many times did they change there story to what they did to those poor innocent people. They blamed Charles then they blamed Tex for the killings and then they changed to who they killed and didn’t kill. Steven parent sister made a point saying “Charles wasn’t there when the murders took place. He did not hold the gun to Susan, Patricia, Leslie or Tex’s head ordering them to kill them”. They knew what they were doing whether if it was drugs or no drugs. He knew Leno because Leno knew a guy named Frankie and he did ask where is Frankie to Leno but other then that Tex Watson and the girls killed them. They are just pointing fingers to other people for there own actions. Yes Charles may have been crazy in his own mind but he knows damn well where he was and what he was doing. It was not the only time they first killed. Bobby beausoleil killed Gary hinman for his Volkswagen and the Manson family killed Donald “Shorty” Shea because they thought he was an informant with the police after the Tate-Labianca murders. All those years the Manson girls never said sorry to the victims families. Paul Tate Sharon Tate’s father saw an interview of Susan Atkins in the 1980s an interviewer asked her “would you give out the words to say I’m sorry to the victims families?” Her response was “you ask hard questions”.. whats so hard about saying there truly sorry for what they have done. Several members of the Manson family did say that the Tate-Labianca murders was a way to get Bobby beausoleil out of prison to make it like it’s a black war. RIP to all the victims.

@@BlackDahlia26 He was not in San Diego that night getting a traffic ticket. That was earlier. He returned to the ranch before evening with Stephanie Schram, having been in San Diego. But believe what you want.

@@zebrastreet9993 yes everybody believes that Manson was crazy but you don’t get it either. I watched interviews, I watched parole hearings. I know what they kept doing to get out. Kaleen Kee I’m not that interested in your overall view of the crimes. Everyone has an opinion, no matter how many interviews or parole hearings we watch or read. I was mostly just correcting your error about Manson not being present at the ranch on the evening of the Cielo murders. He was there, even by his own admission. Manson said a lot of shit in his interviews. Sure, some truth is in there but also a lot of horseshit. When he claimed to have met Sharon Tate, personally it is my opinion he is speaking in a riddle, using a metaphor. In other words, he didn’t literally mean Sharon. He meant Hollywood. People in the entertainment industry. That is the way he talked sometimes. But that is just my read of it. I also think he spewed plenty of nonsense during interviews because he had no love for the media and liked to mess with them. Taking him literally with stuff like that is a mistake. But whatever.

Very strange, I've been watching a lot of Manson videos lately and then a new one of yours pops up. As usual your contents is fascinating and well researched - the Squeaky Pole; amazing. I'm reading a book at the moment called Chaos: The Truth About the Manson Murders; I recommend it highly if you haven't read it. Keep up the great work, respect to you and Jessica.

Gee, anyone is capable of being good or evil, most people choose not to. Whatever their background is it does not give them or anyone else the right to torture and maim and kill. LSF should never have been paroled.

The whole Helter Skelter /Manson family murders was and still is so bizarre. I was a young kid at the time of the Tate-LaBianca murders. I remember my parents and other grown ups talking about it all the time. I was like 'What is Helter Skelter and Charles Manson?"

Great video(again). I'd seen the base of the lampost in the book 'Squeaky' and was curious if it was still there as I'd imagine some people wouldn't like it. I've been pronouncing her name 'From' for decades but I heard her say it herself and I now know it's Frommie'.

Wow, I knew of the name Squeaky in the Manson family, and she's portrayed in a movie or two, but I didn't know about the President Ford situation. It would feel weird to see the past in front of you, like Squeaky's name written in the cement in front of that pole....as you said Michael, surreal With her past and so on, what does she do and how does she make money to survive?? I'm sure her ties with Manson helps bring in some money for those wanting to tell the Manson story? What a wild, crazy, and disturbing life this lady led Happy Halloween🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

Squeaky! The masters pet name. For one of his girls. Spent a big part of her life behind bars. Life was hard for some. That opened the doors to Charlie boy. Michael and Jessica you explain things very well. Love your videos.

You can listen to some early demo songs recorded by Manson in the mid 60s now on KZbin. They're actually quite good although his constant chattering shows how nervous he was during the recording session. It weirdly makes him seem more relatable and human somehow...Perhaps that's how these girls saw him?
@joejones95202 жыл бұрын
they were all musical, if theyd just practiced instead of always going out killing, they couldve ended up another famous 70's musical family, like the Osmonds or Jackson 5...."The Manson Family Singers."

I watched a video of his recording at I believe Brian Wilson’s house, he was pretty good, but the Wilson’s and even Melcher didn’t like Charlie as person, his weird behavior and zero to crazy attitude turned them off. I liked the Clang clang one

Always been fascinated by the Manson saga since the time it happened. I was 13 at the time and have read so many different books on the subject. I love your videos because seeing the actual places gives it more reality. I'm currently reading a book that takes a completely different direction than the others I've read - and I've read many. It makes you re-think what you've always known from the many books out there - or at least what you thought you knew. The corruption of the trial. Charlie's mob connections. His connection to the Beach Boys was deeper than we've been told. It goes into the characters residing at the Tate house. They were not sweet and innocent people by any means. They, of course, didn't deserve to die, but the drug allegations the press and prosecution tried to suppress was very real. The book digs deeply into each of the characters involved and how much of what we've "known" just doesn't add up. Bugliosi was made famous, but the way he conducted the trial was less than stellar with many facts being left out. It's called "Now Is The Only Thing That's Real: A re-examination of the Manson murders, motives and mythos" by Neal Sanders. Definitely worth a read. www.amazon.com/Only-Thing-Thats-Real-re-examination-ebook/dp/B077D13GWJ

When I was a kid, we saw them carving x's in their foreheads and I remember a VW Van parked. My mom was the first licensed female PI in California and knew many cops who worked the case. One Sheriff was Climbing down a well looking for a victim and he got his ring caught on rocks as he was going down into the well and lost his finger and the ring. He never found it so goes the story. Can you imagine how heartbroken the families of these girls must have been?
