I'm not even upset that you've delayed the release of the next episode. Usually when a game announces it's delayed and the release date isn't set - I can usually get a bit upset. But not now. The weekly updates you're giving us are awesome, and it's a sign you are actually working on making the game better - and that you are making progress. It would be worse if you guys told us it would be delayed and we didn't get weekly updates. So nope, I'm not upset. Quite the opposite in fact. Take your time to perfect the game until you feel like it's ready for us - the players - to experience and explore. I'll be waiting :D

I am so ridiculously hyped for this game its crazy. I don't mind at ALL that we have to wait a little longer (as long as the weekly updates keep coming :3), because I know that you are perfecting it. Thank you SO much for making this game, it truly portrays wolves in their natural habitat and I know I've learned a ton more about wolves playing this game. I just have one suggestion, maybe make the river a bit more alive. (Like add rocks, pebbles, currents, and maybe some plants or animals.) I will totally buy the expansion, even though currently I don't have a working computer (mine just died yesterday ;-;) and wish you guys luck on developing the game.

This game probably has the least amount of hate and one of the best communities in the online gaming world. Literally, this game was most people’s childhoods including me! When I heard that they were going to delay the game, I sortve got upset, yet hearing that they’re also going to add newer stuff soon progressively, I literally just went from a frown to a smile! Seeing the updates every week and knowing that they actually work on the game unlike most other games made me just love the community even more. This is educational as it is fun for kids and adults!! I also love the fact that though this started in the 2000+, it was very fun, good graphics for when it was in its time, and a smart gameplay. Then, instead of abandoning the game 10 years later, they decide to keep updating it! This signifies that Wolf Quest is a great game as it continues to be updated whilst giving the fans more content that we love and adore from games such as this wonderful, educational game!!

It already looks so incredibly amazing I can't even BEGIN to describe the thoughts that run through my head when I see your updates, (I check every day XD). I can't exactly remember how I jumped in to WQ but I do remember getting it on my phone and then the $5 version on my phone before updating to the $10 on my computer. But don't rush because like me teachers would say 'It's best to have beautiful unfinished work than, bad rushed work.' Also since I'm 12, in the future I want to work with wolves because since Wolf Quest 2.7 I can't stop talking about wolves, drawing wolves etc, Thank you so much again for your hard work especially in 2007 because of limited resources and now 11 years later you are adding more animals, Adding realistic courtships, Adding different personalities to mates and everything is more beautiful and realistic. Also when i brought Wolf Quest 2.7, I learned a lot about wolves and how they survive, the dangers, how wolves try their best to keep the pups alive when taking them to the site, and so on. However in Wolf Quest 3, instead of meeting one mate I'll have a chance to meet 2 or 3 and pick, I can carry around bits from an elk carcass instead to eating it and leaving then coming back for it, how the genetics will work with the K's and what to expect and look out for. But honestly I don't care what anyone else thinks, but i believe this is the most: beautiful, creative and educational game I have ever seen nor played ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks again, also I'll spread the word about Wolf Quest 2.7 and tell them to buy the game so then they can get Wolf Quest 3 as an update. 🐾🐾Paws up🐾🐾 ~CreativeWolf346 💜💜

I've been playing this since it first came out when I was in elementary school and I'm still here and excited for the next installment!!! I love what you're doing with this game and I share each of your update videos with my family excitedly. I'm a huge fan of well made games and I have to say, this is one of the best I've seen. Good job with explaining why it's taking so long. I know a lot of players are going to be upset and unhappy that the Anniversary Edition won't be released at the promised time, but remember, this community has waited several years between updates in the past. In comparison to how long we've had to wait between updates for this game in the past, we are doing great. I'm very glad that the developers have kept us updated on the development process, most game developers either don't bother to keep their community updated or never come through with their promises. I'm not quite sure if I like the idea of releasing the first half of the new version on PC first, I'd rather wait longer for a complete game, but I understand that this is probably being done for beta testing purposes, as many Indie game studios release demo builds of their new games so that players can beta test them so that the developers can fix bugs in the game before they release the full version. (Of course, this doesn't make the game bug-free, but helps the developers add an extra layer of polish to the game before the full release.) Either that, or it's being done for marketing purposes to give players a taste of what the new version is like before it's fully released, which I've also seen some game developers do in the past. (That way they can ramp up hype for the game before the actual release, so more people will buy it.) Anyway, sorry for the long rant, I kinda got a little carried away there. Anyway, I'm still excited to play the new version of the game, even if it is a little unpolished at first. And here's to hoping for more new WolfQuest content in the future.

I’ve been playing this game for as long as I remember. Coming home from school and immediately turning on my computer to load up this game. And to see, from me playing it back in early 2008 to 2018 now... you guys have come such a long way and have done an excellent job in keeping up with the community your game has created. PLEASE take all the time you guys need, as a 3D major, I understand now that coding and programming things in for the game is not an easy task by a long shot, but you guys are doing Phenomenal. I'm not worried about it because you guys upload a video almost weekly just to show us what your working on, not only do I love to see the behind the scenes but it also makes me really excited for the future of this game. I'm so excited for the game, whenever it comes out! I also have a suggestion. I was thinking that you should maybe implement gaits for the wolves and use the up and down arrow keys to move instead of pressing one key to solely run or walk. An example that comes to mind is the game Star Stable. The horses have gaits that you can change from using the arrow keys, pressing up once will accelerate to the next gait, and pressing down once will decelerate. I think adding this function would make moving around and hunting SO much easier because it can get very tedious only have a trot and run and I would love to see just a slow paced, relaxed walk aswell. Basically I would just love to see different gaits for the wolves, aswell as changing how you would speed up/slow down.

I have to agree- it's kind of distracting to have to try and remember to toggle run/trot off and on, and Star Stable makes it very intuitive. (It's also really easy to run in that game- I can't tell how many times I've lost track of prey from over correcting my direction while running.)

(Actually, Slough Creek is our winter work.) We are making new, bigger and better maps for Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek. Maybe someday we’ll do the same for Lost River, but it’s low priority for now.

CONSPIRACY -the truth revealed- Lost River is simply an Easter egg map made by the developers. It's exact backstory is classified at this point, but some fans (including a good friend of mine) have been trying to come up with an unofficial lore story for it to explain the backstory. And no, Lost River is not a real location, though there are a few real locations that look quite similar. It is a fictional location set somewhere in the American west, presumably the Rocky Mountains, that was once home to a thriving town that is now abandoned, due to reasons that have not been revealed yet at this time. I do hope that the developers will expand it at some point, but that's highly unlikely, unless they gain more funding in the future.

For the PC/Mac version, our goal is any computer that can run the current game can run WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition. We are adding more quality levels so we can boost the visual quality much further than it is now, but we will do our very best to make the game run decently on older computers. However, since we are adding so much to the game (bigger maps, better graphics, more animals), we can’t yet say how well we can attain this goal. We don’t know exactly how much storage WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition will require, but certainly more than 2 GB.

My computer currently runs the game pretty well, with the new update would you need a more powerful computer or should it be ok? I'm just a bit concerned that I may not be able to play all that much do to lag but all the updates seem AMAZING, any thoughts on this? *The far bigger maps are a main concern however they are awesome 😁 *Also does it work more smoothly through steam, cuz I have the download version but also have the option to pay and download it off steam, would this work better?

Don’t worry I get and I bet everyone else does as well coding does take a lot of time and putting a bunch of different codes and then doing sizing and texture etc etc takes even more time. And to make it the best you can you need lots of time and I know you’ll make it great and don’t worry if it takes a bit of time it will be worth it! ❤️

Wolfquest 2.7 is already extraordinarily! And I can't believe how much better you can make the gameplay be! But you guys and girls figured it out and wolfquest 3 is going to be legendary! That's cool that you'll release Amethyst mountain sooner than everything else so people wont get impatient. I honestly don't even care that it's not coming out this year; all of the weekly updates, poles, and you guys asking for ideas have me pumped for when it comes out!! For any other game (ones that I'm not as attached to), I would probably be mad, because they usually aren't as informing as you guys, and don't let us also give ideas. As long as you keep working hard, and giving us things to think about and be excited for, I'm happy to wait for a while longer. I love all the new ways to do things, and I'm actually really surprised at myself for being this excited for a game. But this game is a really special one, and I hope that it keeps getting better and better!! Love you guys~

I am really happy that you communicate your progress in the way you do. With other games you often get the feeling that there isn't anything happening although the devs do make progress. Their only mistake is that they don't communicate what they are doing or why it takes longer and so on. Sooo just keep up the great work guys I will definetly play the new game as soon as it is out and I am sure it is worth the wait :D

And now, in 2020, slough creek is coming out as the final hoorah of the year. And I am so amazed by how far this game has come. Absolutely mind-blowing. This is a dream game for me, I absolutely cannot believe it actually exists and is as amazing as it is. Incredible job, developers. Onto a hopefully productive 2021!

I have always had a love for wolves and all animals, but when I found out about WolfQuest, I couldn’t stop playing! A year later in 2019, I signed up for The Defenders Of Wildlife, a organization that helps protect endangered animals like wolves for hunting, habitat destruction, and many others. WolfQuest has inspired me to do whatever I can to protect Earth’s beautiful creatures. I love how realistic the landscape and plant life is, the wolf’s behavior, and the behavior and tatics of the other animals. I hope Tower Fall comes out soon and thank you for working so hard. Keep up the good work!

It's really great that you release one episode and after a while another, so we can enjoy the game earlier than if you release the whole game at once. I'm really excited for this and I will look forward to your weekly updates. Wolf Quest is such a beautiful game and it's really worth the wait. Normally I'm impatient if I wait for something awesome like Wolf Quest, but this time, it's a good feeling to wait so long, because I know I'll spend a very long time playing this game.
